Lift adapter

     I'm looking at lift adapters, one is a Pro-Lift. Has anyone bought one of these and if so are there any issues. I have looked at others that are more expensive but none of them show many pictures. I have seen a few posts where they were made out of wood, even give all the material and measurements to cut everything. Sense having my bike slide off a home made or cheaply made adapter would not be good I'm asking members that have adapters what make and any issues they have had. I can see myself using it maybe 1/2 dozen times a year so not looking to spend a lot but don't want an unsafe piece of junk.  Any suggestions would be appriciated.

I got a wood one that I made. Probably been used 50 times with no issues.

I bought mine on E-BAY several years ago by someone that had made several of them to sell. Search E-BAY and maybe you will get lucky and find one.

Go to internet & punch in ( HONDA VALKYRIE JACK ADAPTER )
Then look down about 3 spaces & you will see ( RWS LIFT ADAPTER ) I think he still sells them & he also has all the info to build your own. GOOD LUCK

I have the small adapter that is fitted to the bike.

You can hardly notice that it's fitted to the bike.

I've purchased several "Pro Lift" adapters from the fellow that markets them on ebay. They're easy to install - most of the time. One that I purchased had a fitment issue that I addressed with a grinder and hacksaw. Otherwise they disappear underneath the bike and you have your adapter with you should you ever need it when you're on the road. An awesome advantage! This is the vendor:

I added this to my line last year.  This is a permanent, small profile and lightweight adapter you leave on the bike that works with a belly tank or without.  Don't know it's there until you need it.  Then wherever you are - at inzane, on a road trip - if you need to lift your bike, all you need is a standard bike/atv lift.

I really like the stays-on-bike kind...  I have the Pro Lift one, and have my
BigBF horns mounted to it. I believe you must take extra care with the Pro
Lift, or else you'll jack your bike up on the headers without even realizing it.
I bet that's not a problem with MarkT's stay-on-the-bike adapter...

I have Mark T's  on my I/S,  don't even know it's there till you need it. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend the E-bay one also. Others are heavy and take a chance of them coming off or #.
Check the feedback of the E-bay one. Over several hundred sold at 100 perc. satisfaction. That tells the fact. Cant make one for the price.

I built my own from metal.  From instructions right here on this forum. It was several years ago. If you have a welder and are competent you can make your own. Instructions should still be here on the forum some where? Good luck.

    Thanks guys for taking the time to share your experience and opinions. You have given me a lot of choices and you all seem to be satisfied with the one you have. Sounds like having the stay on is the way to go.

By the way MarkT I like the picture of your first serious ride, had to share that one with my wife.
