We made it home Thursday night about 8 p.m., we left out Wednesday morning after reports of some heavy rains would be upon us, not sure if those ever showed up but we felt it best to leave a day earlier than we had originally planned. 2200 miles in all, i found out the trip B meter only does hundreds and resets after 1000 miles, at first i thought i had accidentally reset the B trip meter at a fill up. My Valkyrie is an awesome machine which ran flawlessly the entire trip. Leaving Morgantown we had to go back east to Keyser, Wv. to gather the rest of our clothes from my Sisters house then down Rte. 220 most of the way to Roanoke Va. before we got on the slab, 81 to 77, hit some rain there for about 2 hrs but dried out mostly before stopping for the night in Statesville N.C.. Slept in some and didn't leave till 10 a.m. we were saddle sore and made some more stops to stretch and kept an eye on storms hitting Jacksonville which we timed well and cruised thru after all rain had passed. Had a great time, the best of all was the Flight 93 Memorial, i was not prepared for the emotions felt once there, it is a very somber heart wrenching place that must be seen to be appreciated. My heart goes out to those people and their families.
Once again thanks to all our Valkyrie brothers and sisters for a great ride and company

Afternoon Mike.  ;) it was great seeing you and Liz at INZANE and ridding to the Flight 93 Memorial. The lunch was great on the way back along with the company! I'm glad we took some pic's after lunch and hope they get posted. Bill and I are in Sylacauga, AL tonight. We left Blueridge Motorcycle Camp Ground at 8 this morning, great stay. We will be home tomorrow after lunch sometime. My IS was awesome the whole trip and glad I went ahead and got my belts replaced. I want to Thank Casey for the Back up. He'll know what I'm talking about. I hope all the FL team makes it home safe and sound.

Mike it was good to see you two again.
I agree that it was sobering and emotional seeing the Flight 93 Memorial.
Great riding weather for the four days in WV.
Jack, Joe and I left on Thursday.  Rode some of the Back of the Dragon on the way down to Asheville.
I wasn't feeling well Wednesday evening or Thursday and made the decision Friday morning to cut my trip short and head back to Fl. Safe at home by 4:15 Saturday after 2750 miles. Really wish I could have stayed and seen friends in NC but it wasn't meant to be.
Still had a great time, and thanks to everyone who made it so enjoyable.

Sooooo where is Inzane 17

Had a great time seeing all you Fla boys in WV. Sorry I couldnt ride with you all.   Spent most of my riding time with my sister and brother-in-law from NJ and their group of regulars.
On the way up to Inzane I took rt 301 to 601 from Fla to Va.  Great views of old 50s and 60s Motels all abandoned and in disrepair.  Road was basically all mine 4 lanes mostly on 301 and 2 on 601.  Stopped at a small mom and pop cafe in Ga.  Sign was half missing but had 4 cars in front.  When I asked if I could sit anywhere I got called over to the "Community Table", a round table which seats 10  where all the locals sit.  After having breakfast and BS ing for an hour and a half I got up to leave and I was told the check was taken care of.  They just appreciated someone stopping by to talk.  A Great start to the trip.
My first INZANE was great.  Rides to the asylum, covered bridges, Flight 93 memorial, parks, dam, glass works....
Left really early Fri when power failure limited things to do and headed south.  A couple drizzles in WV and then downpour in Jacksonville.  Home safe... bike still filthy....Tommorrow....maybe

It sounds like most of the FL Valk team has made it back by now. Bill and myself got home today about noon. (Sorry we didn't catch up with you Jack for lunch in Franklin, would have been good.)  :)
We had a really good time at InZane and are already talking about next years trip.
Nice meeting you guys that I haven't met before and great seeing the rest of you that I have met a time or two!  Our ride Thursday AM leaving Morgantown was pleasant down to Waynesville, NC.
We stayed at the Blueridge Motorcycle Camp ground for two nights and the temps were nice. I like that spot.  :uglystupid2: Mike, lots of 2-up riders at the BRMC grounds, you and Liz might check it out!
Be safe all!  :coolsmiley:

Pappy!

Made it home at 10:20 AM this morning after a "spirited" ride South from Valdosta, with Bronxboy.
Well over 3200 miles this time. Am thinking that over 1500 of those miles were twisties.....seriously!
Only issues I had were with both the handlebars and mirrors shaking loose from the rough roads up there. BigBF took care of both for a small fee.
There are a myriad of stories left to tell. Some funny and some are about what we saw.
More to follow when I download everything.
