Hey you crazy Valkats!

I have seen that some of you have the euro badge on your tanks and that some of you have no badge at all!

How did you make this happen? I'd like to remove my Valkyrie Badge to make room for the tribute to the previous owner of my 2003. It is valuable real estate and would be perfect for a decal.

Smother me with your hard earned knowledge.... please?

Also, I'm thinking of another lights project on the 2003. Full LED bulb replacements, rear turn signal/brake module controller, and front LED headlight. Possibly some white accent LEDs to shine off all that chrome. I can't help myself, I need to bling something.

I removed emblems by spraying some WD40 and using a piece of dental floss, worked great :cooldude:

Hef

I used a high powered hair dryer and a plastic putty knife, being careful not to scratch the paint. Not too difficult and adds some mystic to the Beast.

When in doubt, go slower.

Some monofilament and a hair dryer. Might also want to wear some gloves since it has a tendency to cut into the flesh. Heat it up with the dryer, then grab the monofilament....maybe 20" and wrap it around your hands a couple times. Slip it in behind the emblem and start working it up and down in a sawing motion while pulling it against the sticky stuff. You'll have to reheat it a couple times but you reach a point where you can pull it off. Once off, there'll be some sticky junk left on the surface. I used GoofOff and wiped it off, then clean it good followed by some polish. Like Jess said....take it slow, and be patient.

Bighead

I did just as John suggested with some mono fishing line ( heavy - 20 lb test) but I didn't use any heat took about 3 minutes a side  :cooldude:

What bighead said. No heat needed either when I did mine
