Iris and I have been here in Floyd Va. for almost 2 weeks.  Sitting outside on the picnic bench typing this, temperature is 71, the high today was 75.  Low tonight is to be low 50's.  Not that I would rub it in but we had to run the heater this morning. :cooldude:  Course that is why we came.  I highly recommend the RV Park if you ever are up this way.  Chantilly Farms.  Last weekend Merle Haggard's son's Ben and Noel had a concert here on the grounds.  Some ham radio'n, some ridin, some relaxin.  Had some friends come up for a few days.  Will be headed back on Friday just in time for Matthew to show.  One caveat, don't ask the GPS to find you the shortest way to get from one place to another around here.  We ended up in the truck on a gravel road yesterday for about 5 miles and they had construction to boot.  We went to Black Dog Salvage in Roanoke from the TV show Salvage Dogs.  Iris got Tay's autograph and I got Grayson's picture along with some of the other girls.  If you go, plan on spending a couple of hours looking at "stuff".

Nice time of year to be there Terry. My sisters live there and brought me to the Black Dog. I had never heard of the place or the TV show prior to going. We spent several hours there poking around. We bought some wrought iron hinges and a wrought iron gate. (pricey) They certainly have allot of "stuff"
The "Black Dog" greeted us inside, she was getting old, is she still the greeter?
If you can't be a good example: be a WARNING!!

Didn't see the black dog Doug.  Yes there was a lot of pricey stuff.  One redwood piece that was about 3 feet wide and 3 inches thick by 20 ft long was already sold at $4600.  If anyone wants to come up to the area the Floyd country store on Friday nights moves all of it's wares which are on rollers out of the rear of the store and they have Bluegrass music.  They also have a lot of impromptu groups that play all over the town square.  This RV Park is only a couple of miles depending on which direction you want to go from the Blue Ridge Parkway.  I rode about 175 miles yesterday on the BRP and lots of beautiful back roads.

OK Terry, you can stop bragging about the temps up there. I went outside and enjoyed the temp in my driveway....was 73. Was also about 4:00am.   :tickedoff:  Changes are a-comin' thank goodness, I suppose Eddie is packing on the grub just prior to his Winter hibernation.  ;D
