Let's talk grips....

 OK so want to change grips I have used man y sets of the kuryakyn iso but want something different with same comfort.... I have looked at the avons let's here what you use and pic if poss

    Are the Kury's comfy, do that make a difference compared to stock? I have to mess with the clutch side grip soon. Been thinking of new grips. #1 priority, comfort.

I've been using the Kury ISO's for years and years, and I like them, even with my small hands.

Some say they feel like coke cans;  well they are bigger than stock, but not as big as coke cans.

This is similar to seat choice..... individuals differ.

Kuryakyn makes a set specific for valk that are extra long at like 6 1/4 inches (with drop in spacers) that work with your existing throttle sleeve.  The 4-screw end caps make it easy to remove and replace, if you have to for some reason.  But you can order a standard set for metric 1" bars that are the usual length of 5 3/4 inches if you want to.  I don't need the whole long grip for my small hands, but I like the extra long ones so the throttle boss down at the end never interferes with normal riding.  When I want to use the boss, I just slide my hand down to the end of the grip.

I also like that the Kury ISO's can have a throttle rocker/boss installed on the throttle grip. (I think there are several choices now)  Here is a standard 5 3/4 inch grip with throttle boss.



The chrome on mine is fading after 10 years (I don't care), but they come in all black if you are worried about that. (but I don't know if the 6 1/4" valk-specific grips come in black) (see what I mean by the boss maybe interfering with the grip in the normal 5 3/4" grip?)


Here's a set with the Madco Rider throttle lock added (which I have on both bikes).


Besides Kury, I have looked at these SAC grips several times.  Real leather (which wears out more than real rubber).

I have them on my bee and stock on my IS ,I prefer the  kury's. I had some pro one grips on berfore the Kury but they had hard rubber inserts and the Kury have soft rubber inserts.

Gran Turismo Grips.  Don't know if these would fit, but I had them on a 1969 Honda CB750 back in the day.  They have an air pocket between the material and really absorbed any vibration.  They were not available for a long time, but I see have made a comeback as NOS.  Cheap too.  Link below...
