Side Stand Extension for Dark Side, low cost fix.

Installed a 1/2" wire/cable rope clamp without the saddle clamp. Used lock-nuts and just tightened them.  fits nice and tight on the side stand.

A good innovation.

I take it that it's sitting on a single point, the nut. Good for hard surfaces.

Maybe add a spacer to the bottom side.

Or a flat bar with a hole throw it. Then the u bolt to hold it to the stand foot.

My interstate came with a nicely crafted  1/8" thick ducksfoot shaped piece, clamped fore and aft on the flat part of the side stand (all hardware on top).  It pushed me up just a little, and provided a bigger/fatter footprint.  It was fantastic.  I failed to check the nuts periodically for tight, and sadly one day it just disappeared.

don't call it a u-bolt which is a different dimension than a cable/wire rope clamp. A 1/2" u-bolt is too large for the stand. This clamp has a very narrow bend.
