I am a  West Virginia Motor Carrier Enforcement Officer. We enforce all local, state and federal  laws regarding trucks and commercial motor vehicles. I am also a law enforcement firearms instructor and teach civilian concealed carry classes once a month. I also work weekends in a gun shop.

Besides working and riding my Valk I am enjoying my 2006 Nissan 350Z Grand Touring.  Not quite as pricey as a Lotus but it is a blast to drive ( gonna get me in trouble, I am afraid.).

I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.

Great response from all of you, what a varied bunch we are.

Although I have work for Lotus in total for about 7 years,I did leave them in 2006 to start my own business. At the time I was riding an old 1000cc Yamaha Virago and wanted to have a touring trailer to pull.In the UK there are only a couple of trailers available on the market, all of which I didn't like.So I set to work and designed a basic trailer, taught myself how to fibreglass, built a mold and hey presto, built my first trailer.I invested every bit of cash I had plus some more to make it work, but it just didnt happen. It seems as though in the UK,towing a trailer with a bike just isnt the thing to do.It didn't help that the UK laws for towing a trailer with a bike are very limited, length and width wise. Most of the enquiries I had came from the USA,Canada and Australia. In mid 2007 I was asked to go back to Lotus and decided to pull the plug on the trailer business.

Here's the first one I built,,

One I built for a UK Winger

This is my original one after I painted it to match the Valk.

Worked for 3 years for a company called Trailer Train, they own rail cars.  Will have 31 years in March 2010 with Western Electric/AT & T/Lucent Tech/Alcatel-Lucent.  Variety of jobs in the 31 years, right now doing tech support.

Would rather be working for a charity that I volunteer for but will never get my wife to move to North Carolina.  Don't blame her, I would have to travel a lot for that job.

A great job would  be a beer taste tester living in Colorado.

Was an aerospace tech for 20+ years, worked on Titan, shuttle and some satellite stuff.  Now a Test Support Engineer for an infrared manufacturing company (Gee, I wonder who... lol).  Here's some recent fun infrared pics:

One of our newest hand-held cameras.  Took these at a recent charity function.  Here's the bar.  The whiter the image, the hotter it is.  Dark black indicates either water, glass or something cold.  in this case probably all three.  haha

More folks sitting and drinking...

Took these on the way home.  Dark outside, but you really can't tell from the pictures.  Cars underneath are very hot, of course.
