So the 1800 valk is sold, it was 11 days on CL listed at a very reasonable price, and sold at that the price listed. It was a fun bike, it handles like a dream and feels like a 750 compared to the 1500 but with my 230lbs and Wife/luggage (did I do that right to stay out of Casa la bow wow) it just did not do two up well. Enter the attic rat bike and it fits the needs and looks so sexy doing it.  So I tried, I tried to make a bike something it was not and I tried to make it well, look better, I feel I did, to a point and could not go further.  So e for effort? I will be picking up another bike for a fun bike so stay tuned on that.  It will not be a flat six.  I have two 1500s so I want something a tad different.

The 1500 does all things very well, what can I say.

Jerry i have to say I like the "looks " of the Original Valk much more then the new version .  For sure I have to give you credit for taking the step to the future and giving it a proper chance .  Enjoy the rides.

You certainly put a lot of work into making it yours. A capital E is warranted. :cooldude:

Agreed! Some of the changes/additions you made were sharp. I especially liked the light set up in back.

If I had the extra coins, I'd like to pick up a cheap 1500 and make a bobber out of it. A frame, two wheels and the motor. I've been told once the 1200 is gone....that's it. Probably have to ask for forgiveness.  ;)

Why not an A+ for effort, the custom work you did was one of a kind and some of them will be enjoyed by others, the tank bib and windscreen designs to name a few. Can't wait to see what drifts your way next !   :coolsmiley:

:cooldude: Congrats on the quick sale. Standing by to see what's next

:cooldude: I know it will be a show stopper! I can't wait to see what you end up with and the modification you have done.  :coolsmiley:

I agree with Mike it's a large font capital A for me  regarding the add ons and mods you did to the 1800, at the end you do what's best for your needs. As for the new addition, I'll be on stand by, that would be an interesting one

Well one thing is for sure Jerry, you defended that bike to any and all that had anything negative to say about it. A good friend of mine owns one out west, and his enthusiasm for the handling and ride of his "new" Valk even exceeds your feelings. A+ for giving it more than "the old college try".
The key thing is to wake up breathing! All the rest can be fixed. (Except Stupid - You can't fix that)

A+ on my book, you Definitely went above and beyond.

BTW.  I see your pic and Floridians are only supposed to know how to ride slow and on straight roads .  ;D :cooldude:

I have to agree with Mike and Jack, with a nod to Larue. You took a hideous machine and made it look pretty decent. Has to be the ONLY good looking modern Valkyrie in existence.

Pappy!

Being one of the few that actually likes the look of the newer Valk I also appreciated what you accomplished with it. Was a well thought out ride. Well done!

Surprised to hear this after all the blood sweat and thought that you put into that bike, this is what we do we make them our own while secretly looking for that next project.  I'm sure the new owner is very happy and very lucky to have a new one of a kind Valkyrie, you definitely put your stamp on that bike with all the extras. Great job!  :cooldude:  E

I Have To Agree With What Others Have already Said: You Did A Great Job Making It The Bike That You Did ! It Was The Best Looking "New Valkyrie" That I Have Ever Seen !

Thanks everyone.   I am now headlong into making something else mine now.

I think you get an A+ for effort. I loved the things you did to your bike, you took things that I didn't think would work and made them look great. I dont know anyone that could have done as much to the bike in mods as you did and make it come out almost retro. Heck I had a vision for my bike but it was easy to do since all I had to do was buy what fit but you designed and built the stuff. I say good job and another experience on the way.  :cooldude: :cooldude: :cooldude: :cooldude: :cooldude: :cooldude: :cooldude:

I had thought about removing the bags off my 1500 and using them on the 1800 and said it wasn't the look I wanted and it would be to hard. But after you did your bags it made me wonder if maybe I made the right decision. So thanks for that it shows what is possible and that is the start of making each bike your own.

Thanks Robert, and that we do, make it our own. Well I wanted to have another Valk party about now but we are doing new grass at the cottage.  It will have to be in the fall.   Maybe you can scoot up for it.
