  Valkyrie. I have three in the garage.  : I picked up a 98 standard. I bought a 99 Interstate last month and I have my 98 Tourer.   My wife approves.

I can understand the obsession, I just got my first and I am amazed every time I get "on it". The 1st time I cracked the throttle I came so close to just going completely off the back of the bike. If I had trimmed my fingernails before getting on it, I would have. I can see myself filling the garage with these behemoths.

  My 98 is a keeper (along with my wife) . The other two will be rehabbed and put up for sale. I have only parted out one bike. It was in a fire and the engine took the brunt of the damage. The interstate was stolen , stripped and recovered. It will become a bobber. The other 98 I bought yesterday will be gone thru and put up for sale. It is a black tourer.

I had 5 at one time - '00 Tourer and '00 Interstate, '99 Tourer, '01 Interstate and an '03 Standard. All black.

Each was set up a little differently. Two - the '99 Tourer and the Standard - were set up specifically for Blondie when she was around.

Three of the five are now gone. I kept the lowest mileage example of the I/S and Tourer then sold the rest and parlayed the money into other needed things. Like a pair of Concours 14s.

Starting to think about replacements for the Valks...way down the road, if I ever wear them out and parts cannot be sourced. If I had the extra garage room I'd lay in a Rocket III Touring and a Roadster, re-flash the Touring's ECU to recover the missing horsepower then build a true full-dresser out of it. The Roadster would get bags and the option of a detachable clear windshield or fairing - which is how I have my present Tourer set up.

Okay because I was thinking about your five valks today as I was doing a little maintenance on mine thinking boy if I had to do this for five bikes I would not have a life!  I barely have a life doing up keep for my Valkyrie and my other bike, not to mention my little 2 seater car and my truck

I KNOW what he shelled out for the most recent purchases But it are up to da prez if he wants to impart That information. nomoreharleys-Ross-da prez-and myself and a couple others were fortunate enough to git to ride one of Big Mikes blower bikes in 14 at Inzane in Asheville N C. Had that bike Not had the step seat I would have come off the back of That Beasty. And the SOUND that emanated from that particular machine iz STILL with me as is the Raw acceleration of that day a bit over 3 years ago. 50  60 more ponies than my I/S and a lot less weight and my eyeballs hadn't been slammed into the back of my gourd THAT hard since my last cat shot off the carrier in 1967.  BUT given the opportunity I'd do er again in a heartbeat!  RIDE SAFE.

I bought my fifth last year, a 98 Standard out of PA.  She's a Bobber now and a BLAST to rip around on.

My fourth is a 99 I/S and is my exclusive "2-up".

The other 3 are Tourers, 2 are "1-up" and the other is living in GA at the moment.

I also bought a fifth of Woodford's last week.

The only thing I'm not too crazy about on my Valk is the LOW MPG - especially when you spend a tank "twisting her wick hard" !!! Most of my previous bikes got mid - upper 40's (except the '75 CB750F) pretty regularly. Valk is usually 34-35 MPG when I'm pretty easy on the throttle. - Yes, I have a Pingle.

I generally have three in the barn at a time. I've had as many as 5 at a time but that usually meant one was there for parts and one of the others was in all corners awaiting assembly. I picked up a low mileage '99 IS last year and it is the third of my stable but I have had little time to convert her to a Super Valk as was the plan. I did take the Cobra pipes off the IS and put them on the Tourer and have been trying to get the Tourer properly tuned to loose the flat spot when the right wrist is restless. The IS never had a jet kit with the Cobra's and even with the Cobra stumble was a strong runner so I really want to get her back on the road with the stock pipes and the rest of the planned mods.

I have 3 in the garage. With insurance and up keep that's enough. Had people ask me which I like best? I tell them the one I'm riding.

Well, you can only ride one at a time.  Yup, but I have a choice. The Valk gets the most attention of course.
