"I am not a courageous person by nature. I have simply discovered that, at certain key moments in this life, you must find courage in yourself, in order to move forward and live. It is like a muscle and it must be exercised, first a little, and then more and more.  A deep breath and a leap."

Keeping Debbie in our thoughts and prayers.

Prayers are basically to express our wishes the the Lord.  It's only meaningful if we follow through with expressing those wishes to someone else and doing what little we can about them.

Please give us an update when you can and let us know how and to where we can express our concern to Debbie.

I want to thank everyone for their prayers, they were effective.

The surgery went very well yesterday, even the surgeon seemed surprised at how quickly and well that it went.

Obviously she is hurting and will be recovering for awhile but all things considered she is off to a great start.

Good to hear.  I'm sorry you two have had to go through the stress and turmoil.

Is there an address that we can send paper or email to tell her we're thinking of her?

Karen

Great news! Thanks for the update, recovery will take time, but better than not having it fixed!

Prayers!

Just got online and saw your posting. Been there and done that and had gotten the little heart pillow to go along with it (a Canadian thing only maybe?).

6 weeks on my back, only a remote, book or cup of coffee to lift. It's really hard to do NOTHING.

Deb "Ginger" is feeling a little down today.

The Dr told her yesterday that she would be coming home today.

This morning he told her that she has fluid in her lungs and that she needs to stay until Sun or Mon.

She could use some thoughts and prayers.

I was with her at lunch time when one of the Candy Stripers brought her an Email.

They really are lifting her spirits.

She told me to be and thank everyone for thinking about her.

Attitude is everything, I sure she knows the Lord has brought her this far and he will watch over her.

3fan4life

They let "Ginger" come home from the hospital yesterday.

She still has a lot of recovering to do but she is doing well and glad to be home.

She asked me to thank everyone for their prayers and to tell you that they have been appreciated and effective.

That's very good to hear.  Home is the best place for extended recovery.   :cooldude:
