Well I am on two wheels again but not the ones I want.  I am doing better and I want to say thanks for all the well wishes.  Thanks to Dave and Jeff for visiting me at the hospital and for the great brownies Jeff made.  I am doing the physical thearpy everyday and I am now off the pain meds.  I think I will be moving to a cane shortly.

I can't wait to ride again but until that time I can only go into the garage start my bikes and twist the throttle a bit.  As soon as the doctor says I can throw my leg over the saddle I am there.

I hope to see you all soon.  Below is a picture of my current two wheels. lol

Looking good Baron, you need to get with B.A.D. and accessorize those wheels!  :2funny:

Glad to hear you're doin well.
You better take it easy after a couple of those brownies from Jeff.
Since he made em, you might be 'under the influence'! ;)

I'm with GF, you need to get with BAD and get you a bag and some horns on that thing.  :). Great news to hear you are back on your feet!

Good job, David!   :cooldude:

I still have the Tourer emblems, but the softbags and batwing/luggage shelf have been passed along to someone whose reliance on a walker will increase over time.

Well I am lucky enough to have two daughters that carry what I need.  I have been working on using a cane so I may be parking my new ride soon.

As for the brownies, that may explain why I was walking so well at the hospital.  lol  If we have a cookout, I suggest that Jeff bake a desert for it because the brownies were great.

I'm glad you're doing well.  I too have had to use a pair of wheels like that.  Hang in there you will get rid of them soon.

Jean,

I am starting to use the cane but it is going to take time.  I hope to see everyone soon.

Although you weren't shot out of a canon, you've gone through a much more serious event than I did.  When, at crash + 16 days, my doc mentioned the transition from walker to cane, he said there was no firm schedule - that I would know when I was ready.  His guess was two-four more weeks of walker.  I switched after one and didn't go back.  I did overdo it a couple of times transitioning off the cane and went back to it for a day or two each time to catch up.  It's a marathon, not a sprint, but it did go quickly.
