Earlier this year I came upon an article about Peter Sever who rode his 06 Gold Wing around the world.
In the process of this ride he decided that better Hand protection would be ideal, which lead to his designing his Perfect Ride Hand Guards.

Sorry i do not have pics of the ones installed on my 2014 Valkyrie but have not figured out how to reduce pic sizes for photo stash. One of these days?
These are designed specifically for the Gold Wings 1800, 1500 and F6B.
Unfortunately mother Honda decided to put inferior grips & levers on the f6c which made installing the hand guards a challenge. First off the Wings f6b etc have drilled anti vibration handle bar weights in side the bar ends which is why they can add or run bar end weights F6C's are not. Also our levers and clevis are a little thicker and can cause interference with the clutch lever. I made some modifications to this and all is OK. Also had to put in 1/2 " mirror risers.
Originally after expressing interest, Peter was kind enough to send me a pair of prototypes to see if I could make them work. I then purchased a regular production pair and very satisfied with them.  As i mentioned i had to make some modifications but very pleased with the results. The Hand Guards are one of the nicest changes made to my Valkyrie. No more Bulky gloves and many days with no gloves. Plan on adding heated grips this winter.
They not only keep my hands warm and dry but also improve the airflow over the bike. After having full fairing  bikes the last 14 years I was looking to improve the comfort factor. The Honda tall windshield ( modified to match angle of forks) does a pretty good job. The hand guards smooth out the airflow and lessen the updraft at my chest. Important when raining to increase visibility.
Now that their fitted to the bike , they can be removed in under 5 min. Quality product guaranteed for life with stainless steel fittings that won't rust.

I really enjoy posting to Valkyrie Riders Cruiser Club. Of the several iv'e joined since getting the Valkyrie this site has been the most enjoyable.

Jambriwal here.
Handgaurds from Perfect Ride are very well made and guarantied for life. I really enjoyed them last year and got them installed just as the season changed. Got over the look pretty fast because the work well and aid the aerodynamics of the bike.
Tried the original Vetter Hippo Hands a couple of times (just sold a pair) they work great also but have to remove mirrors and too much trouble to align. Fussy about my mirrors.
It was a bit of work to install the guards because i had to change handlebar anti- vibration weights and remove bars to get throttle off. Now that there done i can change out in 5 min. Change clevis pin and bar end screw. That's how the were designed to work on the Gold Wing.
As i say to my friends when they ask ( should i take a jacket ?) The warmest you'll be today is standing in your driveway. So i plan on keeping the on because it's either no gloves or light gloves. Works for me.
