OEM are best if you have stock rotors.

yep OEM  unless you are running after market rotors

I bought a set of EBC copper sintered pads, and it's definitely a trade off.

The good:
they definitely perform better. Copper conducts heat more efficiently, so the pads can grip the rotor harder or longer without overheating. End result, you stop quicker without locking up and skidding.

The bad:
too noisy. They sound like worn brakes.
I assume that's because of metal particles against the metal rotors.
I wondered if that would cause the rotor to wear out slightly faster, but so far I haven't noticed a problem.

I'm going to use these until they wear out. Will I go back to OEM?  Not sure.
I hate the noise, but love how they perform.

I bought a set of Sumo brake pads for my bike a few years ago and they'r still in good shape. I find that they stop very well and they don't wear the disk. The only thing I found compared to OEM is that they make more brake dust.  I tried these because the OEM here would cost me over 150$

if u don't want to try other brands,  OEM are great.

right now I'm using Vesrah and using one which is thicker for longer life. I feel they grip better than oem.

my next set will be the rear OEM pads on the front and at a much lower cost. They are the thickest avail and actually Vesrah and Ferodo have them the same thickness also.

Vesrah catalog and others indicates that OEM rear pads are same formula as the OEM front pads. The rear pads are actually used as front pads on other motorcycles.

I replaced my Front Brake Pads with EBC Organic , FA 142 Series, Part No. ZZ24703.
I find them to grip better than stock pads and make a lot less dust. Plus these pads are quiet, very quiet, and no rotor galling.  :cooldude:

organic always grips less than Sintered Bronze HH pads which OEM are. SB type pads have the highest coefficient friction of all pads unless u get into race track pads which have more, but they need to be hot to be better, temps u would never see on the street. u went from old dirty pads and rotor surface to new clean pads and clean rotor surface, that is why they felt to have better grip and is the only reason.

Sixity also has a very good order confirmed/shipped/tracking number system in place. I ordered 3 sets of  pads via eBay on Friday. Tracking shows they will be delivered to my home on Monday.

3 SETS FOR $13.16 INCLUDING SHIPPING.

That's right 3 sets.

Organic actually gripped better for my old worn OEM rear rotor than either OEM or sintered pads would.  Now that I replaced with aftermarket rear rotor (EBC), it still likes organic pads better than either EBC or Honda brand pads.  go figure.  as far as stopping distance, well my bike seems like 60 to 0 in a 1000 feet--scary! :crazy2:
