This looks like a nice way to spend a little money and have a lot of fun...No affiliation

If I had an extra $1k gathering dust, that would be in my garage. The kit and carbs alone are worth twice that, the smiles per mile even more.  :D

Nice looking bike foe sure John, I just want to ride now and don't have time or care to work on things anymore. Looks like that is a labor of love and would take tweaking to keep it running right, especially with those carbs. But a sweat deal for sure :cooldude:

I don't think it would be all that involved to get it running right. If it runs good up to 3k then I'd be checking out the high speed jets for proper size. Those kits aren't new on the market so there's plenty of experience to draw upon. I have the room for it, just not the wifely support.  ;)

John, it runs good above 3000 rpm. Vacuum or some other issue.

Grumpy

I used to run the same carbs on one of my dune buggy's, if they are not synced and throttle plates are off they run like crap, also very prone to low speed jets plugging up.  Need very fine fuel filters in line with them. Expensive setup for sure.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

Yup, you're right....I misread. And here I thought I was going to make it until July before making a mistake.  ;D  Had a member offer to buy it for me if I wanted to mess with it, then pay him back when I sold it. I told him I need to sell the 1200 before starting another project although I'd love to have it to work on.

Pappy!

Would love to have it as well !! That is one sexy set of carbs and I have heard that set-up on a couple of YouTube videos.....very cool sound and a ton of power!
If I hadn't started another project I would also jump on it and get it going.
