Charging problem

I have a 2000 I/S with only 26k....last ride of the year left me stranded on the side of the road with no power.  I put about 10 k on it last year, some of it in the pouring rain....
I bought a new battery figuring that it was the problem.  It's not.  I even moved the ground to the foot peg bolt. Still not charging.  It was suggested to get a OEM manual and try to chase it down before replacing the alternator.  Any ideas on where I can download one?
