Don’t ask price! Big coin I’m sure, if someone reproduced them would you want them? I have a friend over seas in talks to make them. Only looking for ones that really want them at this point.

well....they are very useful --especially with some nice wire mesh bubble screens --to drive every..most every Harley owner into an uncontrolled urge to mash the screens which look really cool..they just can't stand looking at something that accentuates the already monster motor .. and fool some folks into thinking it is fuel injected

Buy them from advanced auto and use 3m tape to attach to the carb caps. No one but you will know the difference

Dang! That price! They're right proud of those things!
I had them on my bike before I sold it and I think I might still have them in the storage room in the garage. Treasure!

You should put them in our classified. I'm sure you'd get lots of interest.

I never saw the attraction. Added weight and $$ w/o additional performance. But, then, I've got a chrome luggage rack I never use They are chrome though They look cool and most don't know their just bling.

He was looking at the right side of Phatt Ghurl. And as innocently as I could muster-ya might wanna look at the left side-I have 3 more over here! Ross-da prez-fabbed up some Dragon Heads to go on the top of my carbs-only four as neither one of us wanted to modify the side pods. da prez has 6 Dragon heads on his. Every one of us here has a vision of what Our Ride should look like. Functional or not it IS up to the owner of said ride what They desire to be on Their Ride. RIDE SAFE.

I always thought they were just a place for dirt and rain to collect, but they do look cool with red of ?? color of LED's at night.

I found that I do still have the set stashed away in the garage. Since you commented on the added weight, I weighed them and found they are 2 oz each for a total of 12 ounces. That might cause you to lose a drag race with a Hayabusa if you add them to the 800 pound Valkyrie!

I probably will offer them for sale but don't have time to deal with it at the moment. I need to find out exactly what they're worth. Wife is going to find the original receipt.

Me and my better half was at a rally in Mississippi a few years ago. I was down from my Valk about 2 bikes down talking to a friend of mine. My better half pointed toward the Valk, I turned and seen a couple of guys looking at my 2003 STD. It has the Vel stacks.... One of the guys told the other one, See those? This guy added those to his bike. I read in a motorcycle mag, that this increases HP about 10HP. See, He read it too.......

Jerry, I have also been thinking of the Velocity tubes. There is no way I would pay the prices they are going for now days though. I have looked on Ebay ad other sites and found some aluminum velocity tubes that would take a high polish, but have not investigate4d further. My son in law's family own a steel fabricating, welding, machine shop, and I was thinking of trying to find a used or tarnished one that he could copy in order to get a price. One of their machines is called a hydraulic stamping machine, they stamp parts for the aviation industry out of stainless steel that have to be quite close in tolerance's. The issue would not be the cost of material, be it stainless or aluminum, but would rather be the cost of making the form or die to stamp them out of.

I have a Norwegian friend that says he has 14 people there interested and he is working out the final details with someone that can manufacture them. Hoping it all works out and these can be available.

Ok noted I will give out more info when time comes. I will not make any money in this at all if it is a workable situation.

Is it correct that they won't work with an Interstate tank? If someone is making them from scratch, can they be designed to work with the Interstate? Ken

They will work with the IS tank, but apparently you need to shim the front of the tank up (at the bolt) with a spacer of some kind. Around a quarter inch? Just to clear the front stacks on each side. Big BF used to sell the spacer, but his website is partially down now (on his parts).

Along with the spacer under the front tank mount, you'll need to add to the rubber cushions on the frame that the tank sits on. Mine has some split radiator hose under the stock cushions.
