This is truly refreshing! A bitter argument with vitriol and venom being slung around, and it's actually about motorcycles, not politics!

And here I thought I would be pilloried because I wore shorts and t-shirt.  Smiley

I'm just relieved (As I'm sure the rest of ya'll are as well!) there are no pics of me wearing a kilt and sandals while riding the Valk to the Ren Faire before I figured out how to change into and out of the kilt in the parking lot.

Uh, Serk, doesn't the kilt fly up in the wind?  I wouldn't carry a passenger in a skirt for that concern.  It seems the pilot in a skirt would be especially exposed.   Shocked

Ya' gotta kinda bunch it up and tuck it under your legs..... It's not ideal but it's workable...

If done correctly the kilt will all be facing backwards so that the wind blows it back, not up.

Having your kilt blow up can be a rather revealing experience, and generally is to be avoided.

They generally take on a life of their own. (Technically, It was a thread about riding without protective gear) sometimes you just gotta roll with the punches  Wink

Ignore the quotes, Carl I'll bet you $5 that the meathead parks in the handicap area next time he goes to Walmart just to spite me.

Grin just to spite you ? I don’t even know you dude. I had no idea you had so much interest in this. But, my idea was to park in a regular spot and when I saw the store manager ask him about it. As I said earlier, there are a couple guys that work there who park there. I assumed it was ok. But now I’m not so sure. The spot where guys park isn’t where people load and unload. Mostly I’ve been doing it because I kind of felt the concrete lamp post was a little protection vs. a regular spot. In any respect, you’ve already stated you don’t believe anything I say. I will try to remember to grab a pic for you as evidence. (You seem to have an inflated sense of your importance)

LOL!  I'll take that bet.  How do we verify?  We'll have to meet face to face for the payoff.  I've been needing that anyway.

For what it's worth, meathead wasn't in a handicapped area.  He was to the right of the pole in your picture.  The shadow can be seen.
Around here (and likely there) the handicapped marked areas are either directly adjacent to the handicapped parking space or a narrow pathway leading toward the business entrance.  That marked space eventually joins a handicapped marked area but itself is just an area that doesn't fit into the parking space pattern.  I'd park there every day.  I wouldn't park in a handicapped access area.   Wink

So now I'm curious, at my local Wal Mart (Which I shop at primarily to spite Baldo) I generally park in the area circled in red. It's out of the way, does not block anything, and I've even gone out of my way to ask the guys who round up the carts (Who's opinion I care more about than the store manager frankly) if it bugs them or hinders them in any way and they say they're fine with it.

Does my parking there rustle any jimmies?

2funny this thread has exceeded my wildest expectations. BPC has felt a possible spiteing (sp.), Baldo has been spited. And nobody even cared that I wore shorts to Walmart.  Smiley

To answer your question, I don’t know. But I assume if the cart guys don’t care, you are ok. (My jimmy hasn’t been rustled in a long time, but I was thinking about a trip to the massage parlor the Patriots owner frequents)

And just for S&G when I go to Fry's (Or rather when I went to Fry's before I got Amazon Prime) I generally parked up behind the bicycle racks out of everyone's way.

Is that acceptable?

Serk, I realize I have been overly verbose in this thread but I have one parting(?) bit of advice for you.   Wink  Become a bit more like me.  The list of persons who concern me for their acceptance of how I park, ride or stop is extremely short.  It remains as short or moreso.   Smiley

Become a bit more like me.

I considered this option, but I ran some simulations through a quantum reality generator we have at the government, and the conclusion was that this planet can only handle one Willow at a time, the possibility of a second Willow, or even partial second Willow, is more than the current projection of reality could handle, and might lead to a universal divide by zero error, so I chose, for the betterment of humanity, to not pursue that possibility.

Just made a Wal Mart run, and it seems the secret of my parking space has leaked out...

I considered wearing full gear but no helmet just to see if that would get a rise outta anyone since a helmet but shorts didn't, but I feel uncomfortable riding without a helmet, so I wore it anyway...

If the brakes fail on the shopping carts I hope they roll the other way.

Yeah, I have the same deep distrust of shopping carts, that I have for bicycles in any garage together with cars and motorcycles.

They both just love to run into or fall on them.  Nearly as certain as death and taxes.

The wife brought home a new bicycle, and I put hooks in the fence to hang it on.

Why can't it go in the shed?

The bikes are in the shed.

There's room, and I'll be careful.

Not careful enough.

It all is based on your personal risk assessment. Both medically and socially.
