You can miss the rain/storms on a 16 day 3,500+ mile trip
When the post office says "anything flammable or liquid?" you just say 'no'
One Eyed Jacks is still my fav bar.
A shortcut to MT from WY means a sloppy gravel road.
212 from Bel Fourche to Billings is always 100+ deg
You can do Beartooth Pass in shortsleeves.
Camp mates reminiscing about the past makes you really think about your wild days.
You loose your fav sock cap in Deadwood and you cannot find a replacement in all of Sturgis.
2 days in Cody WY means you ship another large box home.
You can pass a friend you met a yr ago, on Chief Joseph Hwy and recognize each other as you pass.
Grizzly bears like to tear up interiors of vehicles.
Folks still trailer touring bikes
You first trip into town and you see 2 broke down Harleys before reaching Main St.
A RV can tow a trailer with a truck on it, and a bike in the bed of that truck.
Cant take your bike through a drive thru wildlife park.
Playing the jukebox at a local hangout makes some ones 50th b-day party end early.
Having 8 whiskeys and 3 beers makes for a long quiet 7 hr ride the next morning.
RV'ers pay to have their RV's washed.
Your gov rate at the hotel is the same price they quote the next person
PBR is present at every bar.
You can be 2 miles from Yellowstone and not go see it.
When you find your fav slot machine and play a few min and you win, the lady next to you cusses and leaves as she was gonna set in your seat.
When your tour guide talks about Wild Bills honeymoon and says "Wild Bills wife was a trapeze artist, acrobat, and a equestrian......Nice!" Only the guys chuckle.

Beartooth Pass is awesome!

I rode it a few years ago in June... still had 8' snow drifts and a frozen lake at the top.

The Beartooth is the best ride of my life so far. 2 miles and didn't ride through the gate? Cry

Glad you had a good time and life is treating you right my friend.

Was there a mess of people like the "predictors" said there was gonna be? I was going to go until I read some of the reviews (predictions) and decided next year (if the creek don't rise) I would go again. My plan was to make a meet with you some place south and between us and ride out but I never got that far. The Broken Spoke was a real dump when I was there but a very busy place.
All in all I think everyone should see it at least once in their life. It is an experience to say the least.

There was more people earlier then before but by fri it was the normal crowd. Streets empty by 10p. Easy to park. Some people said only 700,000. Havent talked to my friends who were there during that week.
Broken Spoke closed down yrs ago. Easyriders saloon opened up there. Its a good place and open yr round. Now there is a Broken Spoke campground but its a few miles outta town.
