Tell me more about the barbarism of Muslims, but first read the Christian Bibles proscription on the matters and tell me where Mohammed got the idea from.

Deuteronomy 22:20-21

20 But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel: 21 then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father’s house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.

Deuteronomy 13:6-9

6 “If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend who is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, ‘Let us go and serve other gods,’ which thou hast not known, thou nor thy fathers
7 (namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth),
8 thou shalt not consent unto him nor hearken unto him, neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him;
9 but thou shalt surely kill him. Thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death
, and afterwards the hand of all the people.

Deuteronomy 22:23

23 “If a damsel who is a virgin be betrothed unto a husband, and a man find her in the city and lie with her,
24 then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones, that they die — the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city, and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbor’s wife; so thou shalt put away evil from among you.

To those Christians that are against any form of socialism, entitlements, or safety net:

And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need. (Acts 2:44-45)

And the congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul; and not one of them claimed that anything belonging to him was his own, but all things were common property to them. And with great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant grace was upon them all. For there was not a needy person among them, for all who were owners of land or houses would sell them and bring the proceeds of the sales and lay them at the apostles’ feet, and they would be distributed to each as any had need. (Acts 4:32-35)

Those dirty believers!  Apostles were just lazy people looking for handouts.  They wanted to take from you and give to others!  They were socialists that wanted to redistribute wealth!

Having been fortunate in my life to travel over much of the world & been exposed to different religions and cultures, I have never been a proponent of condemning all Muslims or the religion they practice. But I will say that overall, my experience has been that violent adherence to the ideology of a particular religion is magnified in those countries that are ruled theocratically. And no where else is that more evident than in those countries that are predominantly ruled by the religion of the prophet Muhammed.

It gets weary seeing the same tripe dredged up about "Christians have plenty of blood on their hands" as a justification for the murderous fanatics that claim their victims in the name of Allah. Atheists have some hand washing to do as well. Stalin, Lenin, Pol Pot, et al. Indeed atheists, which like to refer to themselves as "free thinkers", have accounted for millions more deaths than the so-called "free thinkers" care to admit. So spare me the justification of atrocities from any religion by citing the wrongs of others. It's an old worn out cliche.

Practically speaking it's just plain ignorant to conclude that the mass exodus from Syria, and subsequent entry of thousands of refugees into the US, will not result in the infiltration of ISIS into the country. I'm sure Jimmy Carter thought that when he allowed the Mariel Boatlift. Which resulted in Castro basically flushing his toilet of all the unwanted in that sewer known as Cuba. Just mix them into the mass of humanity exiting the island and no one will be the wiser. It happened and no one can deny it. Expect the same result with the mass of refugees headed this way from the Middle East.

For me it has zero to do with religion & more to do with common sense. With the overwhelming bipartisan passage of the bill to stop this madness, it appears that common sense somehow invaded Congress as well.

I guess its all mute at this point. Syrian refugees have already been placed in this country, and, the state officials have not been notified. Officials have recently found this out and have been using catholic charities to find their locations.

Taking another topic detour, I just gotta point out that someone who happens to be of religion (Or lack thereof) "X" who commits atrocity "Y" isn't necessarily doing it because OF the religion.

Most of the communist killings were done for reasons completely immaterial to the state non-religion of Atheism.

(And yeah, a lot of the religious atrocities were either committed completely outside of the religious tenets of those who committed them, or had other more material motives with religion just used as the excuse.)

I think you misunderstand me.  Saying that Christians have blood on their hands is not meant to justify the blood that others have on their hands, but rather to point out that "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone."

In letting in 10,000 refugees, there is a calculated risk.  One that can be mitigated somewhat by a good vetting process.  Do some bad guys get in?  Maybe.  Do you save 10,000 lives?  Probably.  If a boat with a 1000 people on it was sinking, do you try to save the people or do you just watch it sink men, women, children and all because you are afraid you might rescue a bad guy?

1. Refugees are screened by several different agencies.

Their first point of a refugee's contact is with the U.N. High Commission for Refugees. The UNHCR refers people to countries based on whether they have any family members there and where resettlement makes the most sense, say U.S. officials. If that's the U.S., then refugees are vetted by the National Counterterrorism Center, the FBI's Terrorist Screening Center, and the Departments of State, Defense and Homeland Security. Fingerprints are taken, biographical information is collected. They are then each individually interviewed by U.S. officials trained to verify that they're bona fide refugees.

Refugees from Syria are then subject to additional screening that looks at where they came from and what caused them to flee their home, stories that are checked out. All of this occurs before a refugee is allowed to set foot in the country.

2. It's a lengthy process.

As you might imagine, all of the vetting, from interviews to fingerprinting, takes a while. On average, officials say it's 18 to 24 months before a refugee is approved for admission to the U.S.

The U.S. has admitted some 1,800 Syrian refugees in the past two years, and President Obama wants to allow 10,000 more. The administration says half of those who have been admitted are children and about a quarter of them are adults over 60. Officials say 2 percent are single males of combat age.

3. Physical resettlement.

There are nine different nonprofit groups, six of them faith-based, that help refugees settle in the U.S. Volunteers with the groups help refugees find homes, furniture, school supplies and jobs.

Lets be perfectly clear that these  people who have left Syria are not going to be exterminated if left where they are (outside Syria) so lets call it what it is

It is a mass resettlement of people who have chosen to leave and not fight for their country and who are not welcome by their "brother arabs or brother Moslems "  as you may call them

I would like to see Iraq or Iran take these people in or Saudi Arabia, or Kuwait as these are their cousins not us.  The govmt will throw money away use that money for resettlement camps till the war is over so they can return.

That they come to Europe tells me something and should say the same to you.

Are you not curious why they want no part of the middle east

Perhaps they recognize that fundamentalist Islam is a threat even to men women and children of various denominations of Islam

One who professes no religious affiliation is in as much danger as anyone else. Dont think you are safe on the sideline, there is no sideline

Quote from D.O.:
"I want to be subjected to sharia law about as much as I want to be subjected to Christian law, which is to say "no thanks".

I've seen photos and video of what happens to those who try to say, "no thanks" to sharia.  Beheadings, drowning in cages, burning in cages, stoning, rape, honor killings...

You once mentioned (bragged?) that you pay more in taxes each year than most of us earn.  It sounds like you have fared quite well in our oppressive and discriminatory Judeo-Christian based society.  You are free to spout off, and your head is still attached to your neck.  A lucky man indeed!  God Bless the USA!

As far as the comment stating i should, "enjoy my free crap while I can", I don't get anything for free.  I would venture to say it's likely I pay more in taxes than you earn in a year.

Tell me more about the barbarism of Muslims, but first read the Christian Bibles proscription on the matters and tell me where Mohammed got the idea from.

this what Winston Churchill had to say from 1899.

This is a short speech from Winston Churchill, delivered by him in 1899 when he was a young soldier and journalist. Sir Winston Churchill was, without doubt, one of the greatest men of the late 19th and 20th centuries.

How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy.

The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.

A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.

Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it.

No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.

The above-quoted passage appeared in The River War when it was first published as a two-volume set in 1899, but the selection was removed when the book was condensed into one volume and republished in 1902.

The Churchill Center has confirmed these words were indeed written by Winston Churchill.

But, I do wonder 'which' trials he was talking about.

Like I said though, I think we have come aways since the Salem of 1692. Some have learned from the mistakes of the past.  I don't think that can be said for others of a certain religion.

I guess you did not catch my post?  Why go to your ancestors when we've been doing it, to numerous social groups, within our own lifetime?

Well then, we're just terrible people and will never change. Lets just flagellate ourselves for the sins of our ancestors.

I remember well the live shots from big cities, all over the world, on 9/11.

They were FILLED with 100,000's of Muslims, cheering the attacks in New York.

However, within a day, the news quit showing the celebrating Muslims.

I am sure all those 100,000's, if not millions, of Muslims, were not ALL radicals.

I got mixed up in the 9/11 thing. I live in upstate NY and that night the news channels were all showing the muslim college students in Buffalo out in the streets cheering.

Recently the main-stream media tried calling out Trump and Christy for saying pretty much the same thing about the cheering. The media is attempting to say that never happened.
I watched it on the night of 9/11/01. I'm only sure about one such city being Buffalo, but, it was shown happening in other cities also.

***************This is perhaps the most asinine thing I have ever read.

In other words, because History has shown the atrocities of Christians past we should excuse and accept Islamic atrocities of the present and future?

How can you possibly justify that?*******************

asinine ???? who the hell is talking about justifying????????? how does your brain come up with  such crap!!!!!!!

Christians have committed atrocities here in America, let alone elsewhere.  Cross burning, lynchings, KKK, killing doctors and bombing abortion clinics, Oklahoma City bombing, etc.  Neo-nazis, Aryan Brotherhood, and skinheads are avowed Christians as well.

There you go, lumping us all into one group....

The saga of bill clinton is long and interesting. Normally I would say it is disgusting, but, I'm trying to be polite. And, his story can begin with his journey thru the draft process. He went on to corrupt his wife and their criminal careers began.

I could assert that this poster was a Christian, but that would not make
him one...
