If he were to throw up an apolitical constitutional scholar of solid repute and experience, he might get a hearing and a vote.

If he throws up another left wing, feel good, constitutional side-stepper/ignorer (like the last two and his AGs), I don't care how they get beat.... as long as they are beat/rejected/shitcanned/flushed.
I thought I saw where all of the republicans on the judiciary committee wrote and signed a letter stating they weren't going to hear ANY nominee ? They said they wouldn't even talk to them much less give them a hearing. I have no problem with them voting a nominee down in the Senate but at least do your duty and give them a hearing. Hell they don't even know who it is but they won't uphold their constitutional duties.  uglystupid2
with you on this one. If and when our president nominates someone, give the poor guy a hearing. No one says you have to confirm him. I have heard though, that the presidents men want to throw out some sacrificial lambs, to make the republican look bad by forcing them to not confirm. Once again 21 st century politics rears its ugly head. We the people are either too busy or too ignorant or just plain too stupid to care.

"I promise to try not to lie" 2funny 2funny 2funny 2funny

Is "this" the best that the democratic party has to offer????

I really do try to be non political.

To bring it back to the original topic. No I don't think this is the best they have to offer. But the problem nowadays seems that the best qualified would be nuts to jump into the fray. Hell look at what our likely choices are going to be. Trump or Clinton. That's FREAKING sad.  Undecided

yep, when Senator Webb from Virginia decided to run, I saw a ray of hope for the Dems, I might have even voted for him. The powers that be took care of that though.
