It seems awesome to me... you'd have to have a shape-shifting cam
made out of that stuff from Terminator II to do that mechanically...

I find the technology interesting but I doubt its very viable. I really enjoyed watching the video so I flipped throgh and watched some of the others very interesting, so thanks. But there already is an engine out there that is camless and valve less and its the rotary engine.

The problems I see are air,oil water and electronics all in very close proximity to each other besides the actual workings of the valve itself. In automotive transmissions not only is the valve body in the transmission but the computer is in there also. Covered in trans fluid and ultra high heat yet most survive but when they go expect to dig deep in your pocket.

I feel this is an over due technology, thought it would have come along awhile ago.
With this the there is very little limitation and should work well after a few bugs are worked out.

As an electrical engineer by trade, I feel the same way.  This is LONG overdue. 

Imagine an engine with valves programmed to give both low end torque AND high end horse power!!!

Why screw around with an air supply? Why not electro magnetic instead? You already have the computer adjusting the air supply to the valves-straight electro magnetic simpler and no need for air! On the cams though-anyone remember the Schaller 1/4 speed cam?  RIDE SAFE.
