CM,

That would be great! I called your number a little while ago (Thursday evening) and left you a message including my number. I'll also send the number to you in a PM... As it stands at the moment, my only semblance of a plan amounts to having a Scooter Dog sometime Saturday. Everything between now and then is negotiable!

Thanks for the call back. I wrote the directions down, so we'll see how well I did with that. I also entered your number in my phone for future reference. I'll call you tomorrow whenever I find or get relatively near your place... It'll sure be good to have such fine company when I dine on another Scooter Dog!

Bruce, same here, if you meander west after visiting Don & Tracy and wind up anywhere in the Charleston, Huntington, Parkersburg, WV area, give me a call 304-593-4520. If no answer leave message, I don't hear the cell half the time.

Geez guys, just think.....if I could get away a couple days ahead of time I could also have a "Dog" with two of my favorite people. Maybe have a couple pix taken of the get-together while you're solving some of the world's troubles.  cooldude

I do understand John.  We've had a great weekend with Bruce. We rode to Thompson's Valley (near Tazewell, VA) Saturday and had one of Tracy's 'Scooter Dogs'. They were awesome.  Sunday we rode to Breaks Interstate Park which straddles the VA/KY state line.  Bruce just left here a few minutes ago headed back toward 'Bama.  Maybe sometime we can all get together for an 'old timers' ride someplace.  I do look forward to seeing you in WV in June, hope it works out for ya.

Bruce,  Just occured to me.  Now that I have Clint's popup camper, even if not camping over half of it's internal space is available to haul other stuff.  Like Markarita fixin's.  Make sure you watch the Colorado thread for upcoming rides that include overnights.  There will be Patron / Grand Marnier Markaritas in the works and you have a lifetime free pass!

My motto the last few years has been, "No plan is the best plan!" I had tentative 'plans' in mind when I rolled ALI out of my garage last week, but... As is the custom these days, those abruptly changed! My solitary cruise through Virginia was abandoned in favor of a ride to visit Charliemac and Diane...And, what a visit it turned out to be!!!

The weather was danged near perfect... It did warm up during the mid to late afternoons, and I was over-dressed for these conditions, but hey... I ain't complainin'!!! No clouds in the sky, tame winds, awesome countryside, spectacular vistas, curvatous roads... but best of all, companions that have no betters...

Hard for me to attempt to describe such a fab outing! Perhaps my saying 'I'll do 'er again first chance I get' will convey some of my reaction to all of this! Charliemac and Diane, thanks for your hospitality and tolerance of an aging relic whose best days appear to be happening right now...

MarkT,

You do have a way with Patron and stuff... your secret ingredients and recipe for those really special libations you concoct... Have I ever told you that you have become my favorite alchemist? Yeah, I will keep an eye out... Hard to beat a roll to those hills y'all have out there... And, just like with my friends in other parts of the continent, I find y'all's company mighty pleasing and well worth a ride out yonder! Glad I got to visit with you again at Hotglue's, looking forward to the next time! Please say hello to the rest of the folks out there for me, and please tell them I think of y'all often and fondly...
