If six plus four equals two-hundred-ten, then all bets are off! -Mike

Well, its kinda abstract, but, its easy. Its not really about the math, just reasoning.
Even I could figure it out [ I figured the other too] and I've only taken old math. Cuz, I'm old.

This thread reminds me of the guy who wanted a 1/3 horse garbage disposal because it was bigger than a 1/2 horse!

This thread reminds me of the guy who wanted a 1/3 horse garbage disposal because it was bigger than a 1/2 horse! Wouldn't it depend on the breed of horse? A 1/3 Clydesdale Horse would be bigger than a 1/2 pony horse wouldn't it?

Dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplying by its reciprocal.
So 9 - 3 ÷ 1/3 + 1 = 9 - 3 x 3 + 1 = 9 - 9 + 1 = 0 + 1 = 1

We got beyond that 4 or 5 days ago.

This thread reminds me of the guy who wanted a 1/3 horse garbage disposal because it was bigger than a 1/2 horse! Guy goes into a pizza store and asks for a whole pie. Pizza man says should I cut into 8 slices or 6 slices. Guys says "cut into 6 slices, I don't think I could eat 8."
