Hey Robin, Before i installed mine, I found on here somewhere, instructions on adding a zip tie to prevent the pod from cracking. Believe it was in shop talk, not sure where, sorry.
13k on them and no cracks yet.

I took an 1/8 weld rod and made a small support to the top bolt of the pod. Is made a loop to go around the bolt and a hook to go over the brace that runs a cross the bottom of the air wing bracket. I got two of the long bolts and the spacer and put them where the short bolt on top of the pod. I tighten it down just enough so the rod is holding the bracket down and they don't move at all.

After destroying my first set of pods, I now have a stainless steel support on the top rear of the pods, where the Baker's screw in, I'll take a picture tomorrow & send it PM. I don't just have the Baker's, I have the dragon-cut-out stainless steel covers, and the plastic was unable to handle the added weight at speed.

one of my pods cracked........no extra support........wasn't aware there was any at the time i installed them.
