After the holiday weekend THAT'S where the Murder toll stands in the democratically controlled city of chicago with some of the toughest gun laws anywhere on the books. And being as It's ONLY September 6 2016 we KNOW that figure WILL continue to climb. AND I have not heard ANY lame stream media or any liberals lamenting any of the carnage. Nor have I heard prezbro make mention of any of this. Isn't he from chicago-well-2nd from place? And the article i read said chicago is leading l a and n y in murders-and l a and n y are larger cities.  RIDE SAFE.

One has to wonder which will run out first, the ammo or the victims.

This insanity is one of the main reasons I don't like to transport to Detroit, Chicago and a few areas of St. Louis.   Way too many radicals/criminals/druggies/gang members who don't respect human life.

I transported a car from Kentucky to Detroit a few years ago. the kid (a young black man) rode along with me.   Upon arrival at the destination (before we exited my truck) he said to me, "Stay close to me and you'll be alright".    I immediately pulled my side arm from it's normal place and put it and holster on my belt.     uglystupid2   I assume it was because I was driving a Dodge.  Wink

Was over at my bosses place the other day helping him work on a car.   He stepped outside of the garage and noticed black smoke coming up from down the road about a quarter mile away.   Closest building is at least a half mile away.   Smoke seemed to be coming from near some woods just off the asphalt.   We thought we'd go investigate, this is out in the county and it's not unusual for folks to burn tree stumps, trash, stuff just to get rid of it.   One never knows.   Before we got out of the driveway, we heard the sirens so, we stayed put.   They would not want us in the way.   Turns out, there was a car intentionally set on fire.   The FD put out the fire and found a body in the back seat.    My opinion, most likely a drug deal gone bad, doesn't matter, some kid will most likely end up a ward of the state due to this person's demise.   Sad, very sad.

Makes no difference what laws you pass to the criminals, by definition they will ignore the law.  It is only a method to dis-arm the general population for the purpose of total control by the politicians.
I guess I will have to be a new criminal.  Angry crazy2

I spent summers growing up in Chicago at my grandparents house.  I used to chain or cable my bike up even down town in front of the police station.

I learned very early on to trust no one. And not unlike today if you wanted something all you had to do was go to the streets.  Then and now you can get everything including dead in a hurry in the wrong place.

All the talk is always about "gun violence".  The gun is NOT violent.

It should be properly labeled "gang violence". I have read that near 90% of the murders in Chicago are committed due to gang and drug violence.

But, gang violence does not fit the anti gun agenda near as well as gun violence.

. . . .  I wonder how the bad guys are getting the guns???

The problem is lax Indiana gun laws. If Indiana would simply tighten up some of its laws, Chicago would be the safest city in the United States.

"Speaking to a national gathering of police chiefs on criminal justice reform Tuesday [10/27/2015], President Barack Obama shifted the blame of Chicago’s gun related violence to the neighboring state of Indiana."

I'm with you Mel. Whether It's my .40 or the .380 or the .22 or some "others" not a SINGLE cursed one of my firearms has EVER jumped up and shot me on their own. Much like most Any equipment it MUST be Operated. The HOW of it being operated is entirely up to the Operator or perp-whatever the case may be. Sleeping in my truck in Detroit one night a block down from a Police Station and about 0230 a gunfight broke out.  If it ain't safe a block from a Police Station?  Lips Sealed  Have NEVER been to Detroit since. Company TRIED to git me to go back-no way no how-FIRE me. They did NOT fire me. They-gubmint-wanna legislate the guns away-far TOO many rednecks-like me-gonna keep em. RIDE SAFE.
