To put the Miata in storage.

When the weather gets colder the UHP (Ultra High Performance ) tires don't work well below 50 degrees.  Flat spots, dicey traction, etc.  They work very well in warm and hot weather as they're are made to do.

Sounds a lot like me. I think that some may not realize the effects of cold  on the aging human body. Riding a motorcycle in colder weather doesn't agree with arthritis, a curse in older age.  Even if my knees were good, I could not handle the cold when riding.  In this imperfect world, the flexible becomes stiff and the stiff becomes flexible.  Wink

Anyway, the Miata will have a full dose of Sea Foam, tires aired up at 35 psi (no centerstand  Smiley), battery on the Tender, washed, top loosened, exhaust plugged (maybe) and full tank of gas.

Looking back, I would do the same again on my Miata choice.  It runs as cheap as a Valk, is a lot of fun, in the wind, has a heater, and other extras, but doesn't bank, (which I miss) but, then again, neither does three wheels.

Jes amblin' in my thinkin".  Not trying to sell anything here.  Wink

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Yup same here. Gonna ride today and put her in the corner of the garage. She was washed after I came home from the DRU. Haven't rode since then either.

I just got back from filling the tank after pouring in the Sea Foam. 36.4 mpg., not sure if I believe that.
This Miata has a problem with automatic gas nozzles but I'm not about to overfill, don't need a charcoal canister problem.

I took it for a short three mile run to work the Sea Foam through.  It's funny how it seems to run the best just before storing it.  I was tempted to give it a full run but it's been washed and I don't want to wash it again.

Next step, Mark's garage for a long winter snooze.

Wayne, are you going to leave the light on for it?  Wink  I was telling my honey about how you had to store your ride for the winter since it doesn't work too good in the cold, adding Seafoam, etc.  She looked at me with that deadpan look and asked...."do you like the taste of Seafoam?"  She giggled a bit when I caught on to what she was saying. She's so rotten at times.  Grin
