He needed to go!
In 26 years of law enforcement I never once used "intent" to decide whether to charge someone or not. It is up to the judges, courts, or grand jury to decide if the "intent" was justified or not.

Yep, typical. Cracks me up. Dems holler for his resignation or firing months ago only to now decry his firing. He did need to go and it should have been done long ago, but, what the heck, Obama was incompetent and surrounded by incompetents so he simply didn't know any different. Even former assist. director James Kallstrom said he should have resigned or been fired months ago. It was quite obvious he was in the tank for the Clintons.

I think its obvious that the Dem's will be against anything Trump does no matter if it is right, wrong or indifferent. They are going to be against him no matter what. And flip flop around in the process.

Maybe, but I think there were a few things he proposed in his campaign they would work with. My question is, at what point will Republicans decide to quit supporting him ?

.........the other is a president under investigation.........

The President ISN'T under investigation.  Never was.  And nobody in his campaign or administration is under investigation.

We were told that the there is an investigation into Russia meddling into the U.S. Presidential election.  That's the only investigation we've been told that is happening.  We were also told that if, during the investigation, evidence appeared to implement anyone on the Trump team, they would follow-up on all leads.  So far, nothing has appeared.

I haven't heard anything otherwise.  I don't believe anyone else has either.

Agreed. But that wasn't my question. As a completely hypothetical question, nothing has been proven in a court of law yet. If it comes out that his aides colluded with the Russians will Republicans bail on the guy ? If it comes out that the Russians have financed his empire and he is beholden to them, will the Republicans bail on him ?

I do not know the answer or if there was any collusion or not I do not know. But why no investigation of Hillary and her plutonium deal?
I have seen the Democrats flip flop on this "Russian connection" as to however it fits their agenda more times than most people change underwear.

President Trump would be lambasted and called a liar if he got on television and looked square into the lens and state-the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. The one that would Relly get him in trouble would be to claim there are 50 states!  Roll Eyes RIDE SAFE.

Not only NOT proven in a Court of Law, there is ZERO evidence ANY collusion was going on.  Clapper and others, including Dems, have admitted and testified to such.  Collusion is scheming to do something wrong to throw the election.  Contact is NOT collusion, by itself.  LOTS of legit contacts go on all the time.  LOTS of contacts, deals , money between Russia and the Clintons, NONE of which Trump has been shown to do, and yet for the Clintons that is ok.

How about answering this hypothetical question.  If it is proven that Hillary lied about having a personal server, if it is proven she lied about her personal devices, if it is proven she destroyed emails and evidence, if it is proven she broke the law, and sent classified materials over unsecured means, will all the Dems bail from her?

Oh, wait.  All that has been proven, even admitted to by Hillary, yet the Dems do nothing.

So, why worry about about what MIGHT be with Trump, with a less than 1% chance it is real, and not one thing proven?

Maybe just stirring the pot?

Believe me, I am no fan of Comey, and I don't think many Democrats are.  The way he interjected himself into politics was inappropriate to say the least.  That being said, Trump was singing his praises for how he handled the Clinton emails, and to now say he is firing him for how he handled the emails seems duplicitous.  The fact that he was praising the man for the job he was doing, but then fired the man in charge of investigating his crooked team of traitorous Russian secret agents, right in the middle of the investigation, does not pass the smell test.  The Attorney General has had to recuse himself because of personal involvement.  It is time for an independent investigation. If you supported an independent investigation into Bill Clinton's blowjobs, and a jillion Benhghazi investigations, and even more email investigations, and you do not support an independent investigation into Trump's Russian collusion, you are the definition of a hypocrite.

For you to claim to know who is under investigation, for what, and what evidence is had at this moment is ridiculous.  I feel pretty confident assuming you don't have that sort of classified clearance.

I've got no problem with an independent investigator but, I want one for both the Russia/Trump insinuated link, the DNC's internal support of Clinton over Sanders and for Clinton's email.

The stink from the last eight years is beyond anything I've ever experienced.    Makes Nixon look like an alter boy.    As someone much smarter than myself once said, follow the money.   Oh, and let's not forget about the Clinton foundation and selling influence while we're at it.

No, I don't think you are uninformed . I think we are talking about 2 different things. I agree with you that the Dems are talking out of both sides. The questions I am curious about are what is the point Republicans will fail to support Trump. For me the 2 hypothetical questions I posed seem pretty easy to answer. To me the point isn't really about him firing Comey, but him trying everything he can to subvert the investigations.

Please enlighten me with what Trump has done to subvert the investigation?   To my knowledge, no committee or investigation has come up with squat.   But, I readily admit, I don't have any inside investigation, only accusations and he could have, may have................

A lot of mud or crap slinging going on but, where's the proof.   Bring that independent investigator on.

One would wonder why certain parties within the DNC did support Clinton over Sanders.

Wouldn't the same rules apply to the Russians?   Were any election laws broken?   Unseemly, immoral, disgusting yes.
