I decided to replace the flimsy stock on my Savage 10P .308 with a Boyd's Pro Varmint laminated wood. I had to do quite a bit of inletting to free float the barrel. Dowel rods, garnet cloth, and a Brownell scraper did it after four hours of work.
The Savage has the Savage Accurite trigger, a threaded barrel for a brake or supprosser, and a Redfield 3x9 x42 scope now made by Leupold. Now to drive some tacks if I can do it.
