Many don't read it let alone look at it so I'll raise to the bait.

What is on the cover?

Not this one it's old

I don't know what has happened in therapist's world. He used to be a positive contributor to the board. Several years ago when our oldest Son went on the run to end his life, Ron had words of hope and encouragement. Hope things get better for you.

Sure does not seem like he wants to contribute anything positive anymore. Guess some people can't handle their part losing an election.

Eerily reminiscent of the pretty much non-stop pissing and moaning during Pres Obama's tenure....

And to get this type of reaction for those 12 words.....well, words escape me.

I think Newsweek needs to read the Constitution to understand how the US Government works.
Clearly, they are unaware.

I made a simple comment about a surprising magazine cover. I really did think it was fake.
Just because someone brings up something, gives an opinion that may be different from
the majority, does not mean they are "stirring it up". I can only assume, that after more than 6 months
of negative news about the current administration, that many are feeling uneasy about some choices they made. It's normal to become defensive and want to lash out at any reminders of those choices.

So, Baldo, Meathead and others, I respect your restraint in not replying in kind, when attacked.
I'm not sure I can do the same, so will take leave.

Oh, and six2go...the fact I don't agree with you on something doesn't mean something "happened to me". I'm fine. I dont live in a basement, just enjoying retirement on the lake  Smiley

Therapist, I hope your leave isn't long. No doubt, it is a little rough being left of center around here. For the record, my restraint is not that great. I have replied in kind a few times before. Luckily Willow pulls it from the public record before the embarrassment becomes too great. All you can do is be true to yourself and your beliefs. Let the cards fall where they may. Most here are respectful with that. Take care my friend.  cooldude

We may not disagree as much as you think Ron. I was only making a comment that you had offered us some needed encouragement and comfort at a time when we needed it. That's all, no politics ever from this guy. Retirement is great isn't it?

Trump Has Quietly Accomplished More Than It Appears

https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2017/08/what-trump-is-actually-accomplishing/535458/

Under Trump, gains against ISIS have 'dramatically accelerated' with nearly a THIRD of all territory taken from ISIS in Iraq and Syria since 2014 having come in the past six months

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4765588/Under-Trump-ISIS-losses-dramatically-accelerated.html

10 Companies That Are Bringing Jobs Back to America
U.S. companies are responding to Trump with a series of American job announcements

Trump Celebrates Purple Heart Day By Spending It With People Who Received Them…

Ben Carson’s HUD To End Obama’s Illegal Section-8 Housing Grant Scheme…
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/hud-poised-to-end-obamas-illegal-section-8-housing-grant-scheme/article/2630660

I could list much more that Trump has accomplished and at 71 years old I hope I have the energy and stamina to do as much. I also see that some here are at the same age or younger and could in no way keep up with Trump. So isn't that a little hypocritical to bring up time off, especially in light of all that he has accomplished.

The picture is disrespectful but that would be nothing new for this or even other presidents so its on the one who made it.

I have said this before and I will say it again the s@@@ storm that has come as a result of the Trumps election has done nothing to help and been another layer of distraction and destruction that no other president in history has had to deal with, so the fact that so much was accomplished in so short a time is  nothing short of a miracle and testifies to Trump's skills.

Many of the free s@@@ army hate Trump but we have to know the source and react accordingly. The venom spewed is the gratis that was paid in money, laws, favors and an uneven playing fields being sucked back by a government that considers the people of the US more important. The people that the Congress and President are supposed to support and protect.

I also have to hope that while the head of China's government came to see Trump in Florida and recently we have gotten a 100% smack down of North Korea from the UN, an amazing feat that I doubt would have ever happened under the previous admin, which, I believe this was all Trumps negotiation efforts. This situation and others were left over from a broken and failed administration that did not cut a good deal with Iran or North Korea or even had a clue with trade agreements. Or worse yet knew exactly what they were doing and sold out the US to the world, like a husband selling his wife.

And I got in trouble for putting quotation marks around the word President LOL.  This is just ignorance coming from an ignorant left coast culture that hates all things RIGHT  (pun intended)
