I actually read the article and... they are not wrong.

Is the president golfing too much? Yep!

Should he watch TV for 5 hours a day? Nope.

Should he spend less time on Twitter? Definitely!

Is he delivering on his promises? Kind-of (he is good at signing things, but not exactly on delivering).

Is he lazy? Probably.

For sure an old fart millionaire (71 years old) born with a silver spoon in his mouth and used to bully people around is not used to have to explain himself to the people and to the press. Well, too bad: it is part of the job.

This here is a perfect example of what happens when one watches too much current news media (and believes all of it)

And I got in trouble for putting quotation marks around the word President LOL.  This is just ignorance coming from an ignorant left coast culture that hates all things RIGHT  (pun intended)
Where is the hate in his post ?

I didn't say there was hate in his post.  I said statements like this comes from a culture that hates all things right.  Maybe read to understand instead of read to stir the pot

Sorry, not trying to stir anything. To assume that the media culture hates the right is without merit. If you feel his explanation was ignorant, please explain how his statements are incorrect. (It is possible to have a discussion without discord)

Maybe to think it, but to publicly accuse the President of being lazy is flat out ignorant.  No other explanation needed.  And again you misunderstood.  Much of the media is biased to the left, but I was saying the culture out on the left coast is definitely liberal leaning and anti much of President Trump's agenda anti most things the right fights for

Where did therapist expect this thread to go?

There, I fixed it for you. I'm sure that was an honest misspelling of his handle.

It wasn't misspelled. Just had a random space.

Trump Has Quietly Accomplished More Than It Appears

https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2017/08/what-trump-is-actually-accomplishing/535458/

Under Trump, gains against ISIS have 'dramatically accelerated' with nearly a THIRD of all territory taken from ISIS in Iraq and Syria since 2014 having come in the past six months

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4765588/Under-Trump-ISIS-losses-dramatically-accelerated.html

10 Companies That Are Bringing Jobs Back to America
U.S. companies are responding to Trump with a series of American job announcements

Trump Celebrates Purple Heart Day By Spending It With People Who Received Them…
A president who spends time with the troops how different.

Ben Carson’s HUD To End Obama’s Illegal Section-8 Housing Grant Scheme…
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/hud-poised-to-end-obamas-illegal-section-8-housing-grant-scheme/article/2630660

I could list much more that Trump has accomplished and at 71 years old I hope I have the energy and stamina to do as much. I also see that some here are at the same age or younger and could in no way keep up with Trump. So isn't that a little hypocritical to bring up time off, especially in light of all that he has accomplished.

The picture is disrespectful but that would be nothing new for this or even other presidents so its on the one who made it.

I have said this before and I will say it again the s@@@ storm that has come as a result of the Trumps election has done nothing to help and been another layer of distraction and destruction that no other president in history has had to deal with, so the fact that so much was accomplished in so short a time is  nothing short of a miracle and testifies to Trump's skills.

Many of the free s@@@ army hate Trump but we have to know the source and react accordingly. The venom spewed is the gratis that was paid in money, laws, favors and an uneven playing fields being sucked back by a government that considers the people of the US more important. The people that the Congress and President are supposed to support and protect.

I also have to hope that while the head of China's government came to see Trump in Florida and recently we have gotten a 100% smack down of North Korea from the UN, an amazing feat that I doubt would have ever happened under the previous admin, which, I believe this was all Trumps negotiation efforts. This situation and others were left over from a broken and failed administration that did not cut a good deal with Iran or North Korea or even had a clue with trade agreements. Or worse yet knew exactly what they were doing and sold out the US to the world, like a husband selling his wife.

Yes, but the problem is covered in a nutshell, here:

To have liberal leanings and anti Trump agenda doesn't make one hateful. It just makes you have different ideas. Savago pointed out items in the article, most he agreed with. But when it came to "Is the President lazy ?" He hedged his answer with "probably".
Thank you for the polite discussion.  cooldude

That's pretty undeniable.

That's an absolutely useless metric, and dishonest also.  The entire periodical publication industry is down - every magazine has seen reduced circulation since the 2000's, thanks to the internet.  Dozens to hundreds of magazines have shut down.

I guess we are arguing semantics here. I wouldn't classify the lefts emotion as hate, more like a complete 180* of the philosophy of Trump. If there is such a thing, I still haven't figured out his. To lump his with the conservatives is mistaken in my opinion.
Maybe it's because as another member said, 95% here are conservative . But I see much more what you would classify as hatred for Pelosi, Reid, Obama. But let me qualify those statements by saying there is hatred on both sides, just not anywhere near a majority. Maybe 10%.
Again, I appreciate the polite conversation. I find I learn much more from differing opinions than those similar to mine.  cooldude

To call Trump lazy is a lie.

All during the campaign, ALL news sources marveled at the long hours he worked, from early am to late at night.  More rallys than any candidate had had.

Since we see so little in public of any Presidents day, it is a lie to say he is lazy.  Everyone around him marvels at the work he puts in.

Interesting and if I get the drift they are saying that the Republican party is failing and that I agree on. I can remember when Trump was running and the Republican party basically tried to torpedo Trump. They are still not on his side and this is the same reason I think Trump is doing a good job since, he has battles going on, like, an investigation by Mueller that is now going beyond the Russia thing and going into his personal finances before he took office, Republicans are not with him, Democrats hate him and most see him as a going against the norm in Washington and therefore want nothing to do with him. There are many activily trying to sink him and he still has time to respect the troops, work bringing back jobs to the US and a host of other things.

But its going to get real interesting for bills like the health care thing where there is no option but to pay the devil to get things done in Washington. This will be the ultimate test.

Personally I have never seen such a failure to take a positive situation that was handed to you and use it to your utmost good instead of killing it like the Republicans are doing. They could have revitalize and moved forward and they destroy every opportunity.

I like polite. Ok, I politely refer you to the rally of the California Democratic Party shortly after the election. Some precious hatred was displayed there.

Oh, and in no way did I mean to imply the other side is innocent. I was only making the point that it is my observation that California is a perfect example of the hateful partisan politics we are speaking of.

I'm not sure if it is Trump in particular, or the Republicans in general, but nothing of substance is going to happen in DC without courting the Democrats as well.  I'm not saying they should embrace every idea - far from it - but some compromise in Congress would go a LONG ways towards correcting the worst problems of Obamacare and other issues. The republicans, being the majority party, should be setting the agenda - but even they should be realizing they can't just bull ahead without the democrats, regardless of what they "want".

"Compromise" means both sides win something, but neither gets everything they want , as well. And it's what is SORELY lacking in Congress (and probably a number of state legislatures - certainly in NC ! )  .

It's that they demonize one another...

President Trump has shown that he does not value the future of our children and working families.

http://www.democraticleader.gov/newsroom/31617/

Yes. Trump hates children and families. And puppies too, I guess.

And now Republicans are reportedly planning changes which would significantly worsen the already disastrous impact of their bill

the President is desperate, once again, the deflector in chief is desperate to distract attention from the dangerous incompetence of his Administration, an Administration that has not put forth a jobs bill,

Show us all where Obama played golf every weekend...I'll wait.

President Obama (pbuh) played 333 rounds of golf while president. Not quite EVERY weekend (There were around 416 weekends during Obama (pbuh)'s reign) but close enough.

http://www.golfchannel.com/news/golf-central-blog/obamas-final-tally-333-rounds-golf-potus/

Personally, I wish He had played far more golf, if it would have kept Him from harming the country as much as He did.

I would note for those not familiar with the game of golf. A round does not equal a weekend. I myself know many who play 3 rounds a day.

Thank you Serk, I knew I could count on you.

As the MH states, a round of golf does not a weekend make. Using your numbers, 333 somethings of golf over the course of eight years, comes to an average of 41 of those somethings per year. Do some gazintas and calculate how many of those were played while on vacation (not 'work' days).

As of today: the trumpster has golfed somewhere between 42 and 44 times. That's for six months time. Do the math....43 X 16 = 688.

And I'm having a real hard time finding any of Obama's golf outings held at an Obama branded resort. You know, where he would be making money on his entourage paying for food, housing transportation, etc.

http://www.golfwithdonald.com/

http://www.trumpgolfcount.org/

http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/how-much-time-trump-spending-trump-properties-n753366

So, in closing....trying to make hay with Obama and golf just doesn't add up....

Be pretty hard to have a golf outing at an Obama resort when he could barely afford a house. But that was taken care of when he left office.  Grin

You see Trump made his money before he went into office.

Caught on open mike, Obama tells Medvedev he needs ‘space’ on missile defense

But in an unscripted moment picked up by camera crews, the American president was more blunt:

Let me get reelected first, he said; then I’ll have a better chance of making something happen.

The challenge presented to me was:

Show us all where Obama played golf every weekend...I'll wait.

Not "Show me that Obama (pbuh) played golf All Weekend Every Weekend" just that he played golf every weekend...

This here is a perfect example of what happens when one watches too much current news media (and believes all of it)

And I got in trouble for putting quotation marks around the word President LOL.  This is just ignorance coming from an ignorant left coast culture that hates all things RIGHT  (pun intended)

Hey Chris

I would like to start by saying that I have lots of respect for you and I truly appreciate your contributions in the tech forum.

It is quite interesting to known that you were born in Southern California (San Diego? Orange County? LA?).

If you think about it, I believe we may have more things in common than you may realize (e.g. support for the second amendment, non PC-bs, love for this great country, christian, bike rider, etc).

There is one thing you mentioned that got my attention though. You wrote that "This is just ignorance coming from an ignorant left coast culture that hates all things RIGHT  (pun intended)".

Sounds a bit hateful, hum?

Maybe it is about time to pay a visit to the Golden State and chill down a little bit in a beach or ride the valkyrie in one of the great roads in California.
:-)

Cheers

ps: Initially I thought that you maybe were referring to the Newspaper magazine. But I checked and it is founded/based/edited in New York (East Coast). No West Coast, 'amigo'.

There are some great roads in California. I have ridden much of the pacific coast highway and lots of I80 and Hwy50 up into the Sirrera Nevada mountains.  My comments here  were mostly aimed at the liberal culture of much of your state.

Anyone (nation wide) that thinks they know enough about anything to carry on with a debate by watching news on local TV is fighting with ignorance and falsehood.

I used to do a very dangerous highly classified job in the USAF..  I did not need to watch the news back then, when I did I laughed because it was so fake.  I do not believe the mainstream media has gotten more moral fiber or is more accurate today then it was then.

Ok, now you know more about where I'm coming from, nothing personal towards you intended.

And it's what is SORELY lacking in Congress (and probably a number of state legislatures - certainly in NC ! )  .

Well said......

Yes indeed.  A couple of days ago I was watching an interview with Nancy Pelosi on Fox and she was pretty much asked this very question, i.e. do both sides need to be able to compromise and she said absolutely.  The interviewer then asked her what she would be willing to give back and she got this incredulous look on her face and said "nothing".

"Compromise" must mean different things to different people.

Well - you don't go in letting the other side what you might be willing to give up, but you should have some fallback positions that you can live with. If Pelosi REALLY means "NOTHING" - the good voters of California have the duty of sending her home at the next election....

Trump Rolls Back Restrictions After Obama Regulated 100,000 Miles To Protect A Bird

The Department of the Interior released a revised version of a 2015 conservation plan Monday, rolling back federal land use regulations on more than 100,000 square miles of western land controlled by the Bureau of Land Management.

Former President Barack Obama’s administration implemented the original plan to reverse declining sage grouse numbers and keep the bird from being listed as “endangered” under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). An endangered listing would have been devastating to state and local economies that thrive on industries such as ranching and oil and gas drilling, The Washington Post reports.

The revised plan yields more responsibility for conservation to state and private initiatives, such as those set up by the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, a partnership between state government and private interests dedicated to preserving threatened species and habitats through partnerships rather than regulation.
