Hi all, having owned the Valkyrie for about 6 weeks now I have two complaints.
1, the stock headlight is absolutely poo. I recon a candle in there would work better. That I can sort with a new LED unit.
2, at night I can’t see the speedo. I’ve been using my sat nav as a speedo but tonight that refused to soldier so I had no idea the speed I was doing anywhere. Don’t worry my long range Visio is spot on.
Is there a GPS speedo that will fit the Valkyrie mount or a digital speedo available?
Thanks

Honda traditionally makes the speedo read high. Indicated 75 is actually 70. 45 is 43. Just get use to it and save your money on a "speedohealer".  All 3 of my valks and my '05 wing have been the same.

Some have put led's in the speedometer and tachometer for increased lighting, if that's the issue.

My bike is a 2000, going by the sat nav it bang on. Just can’t see it at night. I’ll try the LED way first. Would rather have a big number readout.
Thanks

I've used my "smarter than me" smart phone in a Ram X Wing mount while using a speedometer app check  speed when trying out a dark side tire.

I replaced the instrument bulbs on all my valks with cool white LED's after trying the colors - they just don't work. I added a pot on my road bike "Jade" so I can set the brightness from zero to very bright.  Very useful that way. Remember the polarity matters on LED's so you have a 50/50 chance of inserting it right the first time.
