The place:  Taos, NM
The dates:  June 9-14, 2019

Registration will open on or soon after Jan. 1, 2019.

Be there!!

Edit: The hotel has blocked the entire property and conference space for InZane.  So, as long as we fill the place, it's just us.  I love that!

Sweet, if we dont move back to Alabama with her job, I might be able to make it. 530 miles would be very doable one day ride.

1560 miles bee-line for me, so add a few hundred or more to make the route interesting... a nice distance. Never been to NM and never ridden in that particular region of the US, so I like the choice.  cooldude

That is over 2000 miles  wowee

Unfortunately it will almost surely involve superslab until I am past the Mississippi River to get there in 3 days  Probably will take 4 or more  as mapquest shows 10 hr days without the gas stops

Lets see who is coming out from New England to make a posse

That part of the country is on my bucket list to ride on a bike, have been to santa fe with bonnie in the car though

When I was little (Insert joke here) we used to vacation just down the road in Red River quite often. You dual sport owners might wanna consider bringing that bike in lieu of your Valk!

I'm considering trying to rent a dirt bike or a 4Runner or something for a day, there are some wonderful trails in that area!

(Off the top of my head, look for Old Red River Pass and Fourth of July Canyon)

My grandparents would escape the heat of the Rio Grande Valley to Red River every summer.

I always associate this TV show with Taos for some reason. I guess it was the first I heard of it.

I have literally ridden thousands of miles in that area. About 90% of the roads are narrow (slow is relative).

We left Cimarron NM on wed (hour + east of taos) and got to Dodge City KS at 3p. Got the hell outta dodge thurs morn and got to central MO and home (ind) on fri. All non interstates except for 80 miles in Ill. So it is do-able, weather depending.  Roll Eyes
Cimarron is where "the plains meet the mountains" so after it, it gets slow going (30 mph) due to curves.

Yea I didn't care for it at all. Scary at times rounding the curves east of town. I was 8 days straight in of riding nothing but curves and I was tired of it. Give me a straight plains road and Im happy.  Grin We did like the NM mountains better then Colorado tho. Very pretty.

A very nice venue that will be revealed when you register once registration is open...

(Sorry, I'm pretty sure I got it, but I get the impression staff would prefer we not try to publicly guess at the specific venue to avoid issues with folks trying to book outside the system agreed to with the venue.)
