Read all about it

http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,102978.0.html

The place:  Taos, NM
The dates:  June 9-14, 2019

Registration will open on or soon after Jan. 1, 2019.

Be there!!

Edit: The hotel has blocked the entire property and conference space for InZane.  So, as long as we fill the place, it's just us.  I love that!

25 hr ride, 1500 miles plus on the slab to get there. Looks like a 3-4 day each way trip.

With our Valhalla Rally weekend regularly scheduled for the week after Father's Day, which would be the weekend of June 22 (Jun 20-23), would there be any demand for changing the days to a week earlier, and meeting up somewhere else, like Joseph OR, on the trip back home?

This would make it a date change too. Instead of Thurs, maybe a Sat June 15 - Tue June 18. Keeping in mind this would be back at the Father's Day weekend. A once every few years is doable for me.

I can't get the time off work to go to the InZane, it would most likely take up 10 work days off.

We're in!!  Now , all we need is a plan..... It's roughly 1600 miles for us. At first glance, if we rode down and allowed  6 days, that would be about 5 hours in the saddle per day. If we trailered, we could do it in 1/2 the time ( ie longer hours , fewer stops and two people driving.) What are your thoughts ?? It would be nice to meet up along the way smitten

Lisa and I are thinking of planning our annual Summer holiday around Inzane ...New Mexico is somewhere we've never been and we would also want to see other new to us territories along the way on an extended ride...so we wouldn't just be making a bee-line there and back. I'm good with moving both the date and location of Valhalla to accommodate having them fit in back to back, but I worry that might interrupt the momentum we've begun with it in recent years ... not everyone in our Valhalla group has the wherewithall  in terms of time, etc. or interest to go to Inzane, so Valhalla may suffer as a result I suggest leaving Valhalla as it is...especially the date...those of us who choose to head down to NM will have plenty of time to make it back for Valhalla, while those who don't will still be able to plan to enjoy Valhalla at its regular time and place.
My 2 cents...  Smiley

I prefer keeping it when it is. I usually take the month of July off, so the closer to the end of June, the better.  Earlier June can still be pretty cool in some of the mountain passes, not?

But if it means Steve won’t be there to be our lead rider...move it.  Grin.

Who am I kidding...I’ll be there whenever/wherever it is. You guys decide what’s best for the group.

It probably makes more sense to keep Valhalla for the original dates of June 20-23 . This would allow riders the opportunity to take a more relaxed ride back from Inzane . If we scheduled Valhalla a week earlier it would mean riders would have to make an 18 hour ride to Joseph OR in one day .... OK for you youngin's , but my ass is hurting just thinking about it  tickedoff

Actually you leave InZane on the Fri, so that would either be Fri-Sat or Fri-Sun ride to Joseph, or somewhere else, but somewhere in the USA was my thought. Whether I take the Thur-Fri off, or the Mon-Tues, shouldn't be too bad.

Don't get me wrong, this isn't for me, this would be for those who could have the chance to go to an InZane closer to the West Coast, and like last years Billings trip, would give a nice way-point.

My choice is to keep it in BC for next year, with our current plan of supporting Grand Forks Johnny's Motel if they get up and running for next summer.

Roll Eyes MSB My S.O. (Myla) is curious as to if S.O. Lisa will be caging it down to NM for Inzane or doubling with you on the Valk?  She wants to chat!

Lisa would ride with me...preferably both ways, unless she can't get enough time off and then she might fly home. We'll see how it all pans out going into the new year, but she would definitely want to ride rather than drive. We really like the location... NM would be something new for both of us... something to make a nice holiday out of.
We'll keep in touch on this... too bad Lisa can't make the upcoming Joseph OR run with me, they could've chatted all weekend Wink

What's the name of the Hotel?

Hi ibattle, it usually isn't advertised. You can't get a room, as the whole hotel is reserved, unless you register and get a registration # to give to the hotel. It's one way they insure to fill the hotel that is hosting the rally, rather then side reservations or people going to other hotels.

At some point, the organizers do give out the information, when it doesn't matter any longer.

Welcome to the forum. Where are you at? How about adding that to your profile, makes it easier to meet up with others and getting local help.

You posted in the BC forum, so did you check out or annual Valhalla Rally yet?
