Thanks for posting this one.   Although I think I have found the one I want, this could be an option.
Gotta get through rehab first, still can't reach the clutch/left side handgrip.   But getting closer....   crazy2

That one above in Chicago is a re-post.

Could be explained by the owner, deal fell through? took it off the market until cold weather?
I have no idea, but questions that should be answered by the seller.

https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/csw/mcy/d/honda-valkyrie-trike/6744200805.html

not bad price for a trike?

looks like a HD rear top trunk and rear backseat rest?

I would hate to have to push it around though with no reverse, doubt it is possible to do much unless a gorilla.

I've wanted a Valkyrie trike for several years, rode a few, really liked the Road Smith conversion.   Sure wish these ads would state what brand, trike conversion they are.  Few do.   I can't tell from the pics.

That's a California Side Car (CSC) conversion. We had one.

Brand and year the kit was installed. My wife’s first  Valkyrie Trike had an older Motertrike kit. My Honda mechanic and Motortrike rep advised us to look for a newer kit bike. Bought a 2000 Interstate with a newer Roadsmith kit and Independent Suspension and are much happier with it.

That's not a trike kit, it's training wheels.  And from what I've read, they don't handle all that well.

But much cheaper than a true trike conversion.

It's intriguing that he says it has a reverse; never heard of that before (on a valk, not a wing).

Well it for sure is not a "1999 Honda Valkyrie Interstate" as stated in the add.

I was not familiar with this but did a little Googling and apparently they do offer a reverse option on their kits. Apparently Bushtec owns them now.

This Trike has been for sale in the Chocowinity, NC area for several months on and off craigslist.  Currently not listed but I called him a few days ago to verify it was still for sale.   I've not seen the Trike.  It's a 2003 with a newer Roadsmith Trike kit with Independent suspension and a Rifle fairing with approximately 45,000 miles.  This Trike looks very similar to my wife's new to her Red & Black Interstate Trike with the same Roadsmith Trike Kit that she loves.  Below is a copy of one of his craigslist ads.  The price has been a little lower than this on one of his listings.

2003 Valkyrie trike - $11250 (chocowinity nc)

odometer: 45000
title status: clean
transmission: manual
2003 Honda Valkyrie with Roadsmith trike kit (independent suspension)
Black and red
Fairing / driver floor boards / rear trunk with passenger backrest and stop light
Mustang seat w/ drivers backrest
Always garaged / lots of chrome / air horn / double light bar (headlights)
Always use Mobil 1 oil
Excellent all around motorcycle...
I can send pic to your cell phone
CALLS ONLY.....texts won't be answered----too many scammers.

That’s a nice trike!

Unfortunately, my insurance “adjuster” doesn’t see nearly that much value in my crashed Valkyrie and the medical bills greatly....   Well, let’s. not go there.  But eventually, I’ll be back in the wind.

sorry to hear your insurance company sucks and wrecked Valk.  I do not think any insurance company is worth a darn nowadays trying to squeeze a dime out of a nickle.  I did the right thing with Progressive since wanted to find out what breakdown of my insurance bill went to each vehicle since rate went up again 25 bucks or so which of course lady could not do for me (idiots).  I then noticed my 2017 truck was not right owning it over 1 year of ownership vs. less than 1 month as it was last year figuring the LONGER you own a vehicle on policy the LOWER rate would go as it did with our old 2004 pontiac vibe did when 2 years ago went from 1 month ownership to OVER 1 year ownersship went down 20 bucks or so.  NOPE - truck went up 11 more dollars  changing it from 1 month to OVER 1 year ownership on policy.  I was pissed and demanded an answer why - lady had no clue just pushes buttons and told her to change it back then since they never caught their mistake, I did, and she refused to do so.  Gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling being screwed over by insurance companies every 6 month premium bill due.

Wanna bet if I ever wrecked any car or cycle with Progressive,  they would give me LOW BALL replacement cost if totalled being about all trade in value, if that, vs. should be RESELL pricing.   Am I wrong for thinking that??  My guess is 3K totalled value given to me vs. should be 6K resale value on my 2001 Valk I/S in my opinion.    All this insurance B.S. just wants me to take my chances and ONLY get liability since the lower value totalled cost (besides my newer truck) is hardly worth paying the premiums on the rest of the insurance due.    Then what if you actually HAVE TO USE for once every 30 years insurance if in an accident?  All insurance companies screw you over whether at fault or not and raise your rates by say 15% or more even if NOT an at fault accident.  Happened to me when I hit the deer in February was unavoidable and even tried to miss it and thankfully did not run off the road and just knicked the front fender vs. head on collision still 3K in repairs and over 100 dollar RAISE total in rates on 4 vehicles - such B.S.!!!   tickedoff  I might as well smashed the heck hitting the deer head on since did not matter to the insurance company were going to raise my rates regardless of damage not my fault.  Problem is, MORE damage especially radiator, electronics, etc. if fixed, might not be truly fixed having headaches down the road with the vehicle, thus the reason as to why I swerve to avoid a deer regardless of what the police or insurance companies say not to do.

I don't know why you have such issues with insurance. I have had progressive for 10 years and all it has done is gone down.

goes up every 6 month renewal for me.

I think a lot has to do with the state insurance rates guessing WI has more claims or southern WI does or something like that vs. other areas?    Or so Progressive says?

I do not get their ratings at all either so if our 2004 Vibe changes from 1 month to over 1 year ownership and goes down next renewal, why does our 2017 Tundra same scenario 1 year later do just the opposite going up?  If I sell 2 of our 5 cycles,  my entire cycle premiums will go UP NOT DOWN having only 3 cycles vs. 5?    I am dumbfounded and Progressive has NO answers for me just what their computer says is all.  I requested a simple breakdown of EACH of our 4 vehicles of how much each one was for price and they could not even do that for me just a LUMP SUM amount due is all?  Idiots I tell you!  My last 6 month premium lists breakdown of each vehicle, not this renewal and it should easy enough since I wanted to find out which vehicle (or vehicles went up in price yet again).  Having filed one comprehensive deer collision in over 30 years of driving is all surely ticks me off and to be lied to by Progressive insurance adjuster at the body shop stating NO rate increase is B.S. as well.   I have not found ANY insurance company that actually rewards drivers for longevity with them, they are all crooks.

I went from an 05 Tundra to a 17 Tundra and mine went down 20 bucks a month. Wife went from a 2010 Traverse to a 2015 sienna and hers went down 15 bucks. We get multiple car and bike, bike cost me 17 bucks a month with 5k accessories and the most you can get medical and 250 deductible.  If I switched my house to them they said everything would go down even more. I am not looking forward to putting 2 boys on our insurance.  Undecided

Jerry,
I had my doubts also, since it is the first day of the listing, I felt that it could very well be the real thing, if it had been on there for weeks at that price, it would scream scam.  I felt that someone will get a heck of a deal if it is legit.

I sure hope everyone on the board is well versed in the scammer ads on Craigslist.

I sent him a text asking if the bike had ABS and what was  the current mileage. Said it has ABS but he would have to go look at the bike for actual mileage. I really like the custom painted images but the background colors are just ok.

saw the near similar f6b on craigslist around 5K miles is all and 8700 in price.  It must have sold for the time I went to look again to consider it the next night, it was off craigslist.  Under 9K was a great deal someone scored!  One thing for sure,  either the deal is too good to be true (scam or something majoriily wrong with it) or you got the best deal ever!

When looking at F6B's its important to note if it's a deluxe or standard if cruise control, self cancelling turn signals and a centerstand are important to you.

I think cruise control on a cycle is one of those options that if you never had it, you would never (or should I say rarely) miss it, but once you get it, you HAVE to have it from now on.

Similar to the wife's SUV she said next vehicle has to have heated seats, preferably in cloth.  I do not care much for heated seats feels good for first 10-20 minutes of driving when cold out, but after that I have to shut them off since even on low setting is not ideal for me at least.

Remember the good old days when even power brakes/steering were an option?  I thought it was cool to get my first hand me down old brothers car with cruise control in 1978, but still had crank windows unfortunately.  Give me pwr windows and seat, cruise, a/c, backup camera comes in handy, radio, tilt/telescopic wheel, and I am good to go all I need in a vehicle.  Nowadays most 2018 and newer 2019 more so vehicles have standard lane departure assist,  adaptive cruise control, and blind spot monitoring.  I say if it gives me a discount in auto insurance rates, the near 1K extra base msrp price built into the std. price for such gadgets, will help offset insurance costs over time.
