Called dealer for tires and they said only ones they can get is oem Dunlap from Honda. What radial tires you guys using since there isnt a selection for our bikes and needs to be safe . Read about people putting different  size front tire on but is it safe ? Also called a shop and they wont mount it being different  size front .

                              there is several makes of tires we can use. Right now I am running on a set of Metzeler and they were fine for my trip to Glacier National park. 4000+ miles and they are doin great.

I've been through numerous tires. Michelin PR4s are good on the back as well as
Pirelli Angel GT spec-a... I've got a Avon Cobra on the front of mine now, it has
really lasted and works like a Cobra... I wondered at first, but that it is a 120 instead
of a 130 doesn't seem to be relevant at all...

The OEM tires blow chunks  Smiley

So go with a 120 /70/19  ? Is that actually  safe to run slightly  smaller?

I think it doesn't matter in the least. We've got people on here running tractor car tires...

I'm also about to mount some Dunlop Roadsmart 3s. We shall see how they hold up to the bike's weight. A lot of heavy sport touring machines seem to do well with them. Going to a 120 won't be a problem with this bike and that size opens up a lot more radial possibilities over the 130 bias ply options.

Plenty of options out there, just have to take the plunge and try them out!

I just had a set of Avon Chrome on mine. Sent in for my $ 60.00 rebate. Had Avon's last set because my dealer had a set on the shelf he wanted to sell. Rear went 10,500. Hoping for better mileage on new ones with improved dual compound. Excellent traction and handling. Waiting for the weather to break up here.

The relevance between the 120 and 130 radial is that the 120 being a bit narrower is more responsive, feels lighter and handles better....more sport bike like.  The Avon's being a bit more rounded than most add to this too..

I would not go back to the 130 option even if there were more out there to choose from....

These Avon's handle very well and are working out great!
