I think LEDs in back are a mixed blessing.
I know a lot of guys have converted to them.
They sure have less draw (unless you use load equalizers to make the signals work at a slow blink, instead of an electronic flasher).
I have the big LED array instead of an 1157 in my std valk tail lights (installed on both of my interstate fenders). The one under the truck (in the shade) is always bright. But in direct sunlight, the one on my trunkless bike seems to fade out and sometimes looks like no tail light at all. I've noticed the same thing following Hogs and other bikes that came from the factory with rear LEDs. I can hardly see them in direct sunlight, but when they ride into the shade, it made me think they were hitting their brakes, as they suddenly got bright.
I don't have any experience with 1156/1157 straight plug in led bulbs.

There seem to be a whole bunch of choices, and how do you know what is best? And do they all disappear in direct sunlight. Brake lights may get extra bright, but what about just the running light?
