I have a procedural question is anyone knows.
It is apparent questions are being submitted to the Chief Justice live, but have these questions been submitted to each side previously so they can formulate their responses when the question is presented to the judge and he reads them aloud.

My understanding is that is correct, questions were to be submitted a head of time...

Ok thank you. It’s obvious the cards are being submitted with questions, but it seems a couple times each side has had a similar card when flipping through their binders and approaching the podium.

That may be true for initial questions, but I believe as time goes on, and questions get narrower and more specific (following answers to earlier questions), they don't have advance notice.
This should be the best viewing.
So Mr Shiff, when exactly did you start blowing the whistleblower?

According to the internet (Must be true then, right?) the Chief Justice is reading them for the first time. I note that some questions from one side goes to that side's representatives and thus could have been discussed offline for preparedness. As organized as the two teams are it would surprise me if they hadn't compiles a list of potential questions with their agreed upon response.

They could always ask Donna Brazil, she would give them the questions before they were written.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) was stared down on Thursday by Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts after she asked an absurd partisan question that attacked Roberts’ character.

Tennessee comes through, Lamar Alexander says no to more witnesses. If Romney votes for more witnesses he will be a one term Senator from Utah.

What's funny, you have 3 Democratic senators (Klobuchar, Warren, Sanders) restricted on campaigning for the Feb 3rd Iowa Caucus, as their Senatorial duties require them present at the impeachment trial. Meanwhile, Donald held a rally in Des Moines last night Bullet ------------------>Foot

No, I was under no illusions that 20 R Senators would cross over. What is absolutely disgusting is that they're such cowards that they wouldn't cross to allow witnesses and evidence. What kind of trial exists without them? What are they afraid of? Oh yeah, the truth. Sorry for being pissed on your comment, Serk.

I don't know how anyone can be disappointed in the outcome given the fraud of the input and the real expectations by democrats that nothing would come of that fraud. The whole circle jerk was to try to get Trump defeated in 2020 and that reality is they have made him unbeatable this fall.

What kind of trial exists without them? What are they afraid of? Oh yeah, the truth. Sorry for being pissed on your comment, Serk. So many ways to address this...…….. Witnesses? The House of Reps had ample opportunity to call witnesses. Oh Yeah, did you happen to watch that Inquiry? Talk about a disgusting "One Sided Event"! The Dems had an agenda during that Inquiry and lived up to their reputations. Sad. The real question in my mind (when compared to past President's activities and indiscretions) is whether or not President Trump's actions were impeachable offenses. IMHO, even if the accusations are true, they do not reach the level of an impeachable offense. Much of what President Obama did was much worse IMHO. Depends on perspective and the Hater's desire to over ride the last election's results. I don't happen to personally like President Trump but, I can not argue with the results of his presidency. Calling Senator Alexander a coward when he gives an honest appraisal of his opinion? I don't think so whether I agree with him or not. Rams

They traded insults many times, and I think this was payback. Remember the last time, they were supposed to meet and 1.5 hours before the meeting Pelosi called him an illegitimate President, so he called off the meeting and called her terrible politician or political hack. You see how Pelosi lights up and raises her fist whenever she declares that he's been impeached "FOREVER". It's her ultimate revenge.

The dems needed 4 republicans to defect to get witnesses. That worthless POS Romney is a yes as well as Collins from Maine. Even if Murkowski votes yes they only get a tie. But when Nadler gets up there and insults all the GOP senators saying they are complacent in a cover up is a great way to win friends and influence people. 'You're a lier and a cheat but I need your vote ". Good job there Jerry. Under the Dems logic on impeachment,Obama could have been impeached for "Fast and Furious" and Bengazi just name two. All this sham has done is put a even bigger light on Bidens corruption. Nobody died because of Trump's phone call. That can't be said for Obama. One dead as a result of F&F and FOUR dead from Bengazi. Tell me again who is worse?

You see how Pelosi lights up and raises her fist whenever she declares that he's been impeached "FOREVER". It's her ultimate revenge. IMO, they got what they wanted almost, (although they hoped but, they didn't expect to win) they got to drag President Trump through the barn lot and it wasn't mud. They got one heck of a lot of media bias on their side of the aisle and, they solidified their base regardless of who the Dem candidate ends up being with the possible exceptions of Sanders and Warren. Both of those candidates are so far left, only real Liberal/Progressives and Communist will vote for them. I don't know a single Democrat who would vote for their agendas. This is and was all about the 2020 election. What they did accomplish was to also solidify Trump's based and guarantee there will be many Dems who will stay home and not vote. Many don't like Trump but, won't vote for Sanders or Warren. Biden will garner more votes because some Dems don't care if he got his son a multi-million dollar job while selling his integrity. Similar to Speaker Pelosi's "special relationship" with her son's employer. Rams

(Doing the right thing doesn’t always have a positive outcome) Whether it was the right thing or not the long lasting outcome will probably bite us all in the ass. Impeachment has been weaponized by the Democrats and that will not be lost on anyone in the future especially the Republicans. They, the Dems, should not have went bear hunting with a switch. If the Democrats could have produced some real wrongdoing by the President detrimental to the safety of the country, I’d be right there cheering them on. The way this has been handled a blind person could see the Democrats motives. The biggest take away from all this for me has been the revelation that the majority of the bureaucracy machine in Washington is so stacked to the left that they are openly willing to try to overthrow the Presidency it’s also an eye opener that the left has such a vile disregard for the citizens who don’t agree with them and vote for there own interest rather than their extreme views and policies.

What a reasonable question Serk. I think the best definable reason is they felt they had to save face after whiffing at the ball for 3+ years. And stir in some desperation and self preservation. All the press daily hate (for years) they could push, the seemingly wide support to make him an illegitimate president, their hate and BS (and they have to consistently act like they actually believe their bullshit, without faltering, and it becomes the principle purpose of their legislative lives), take on the role (and temperament) of crusading jihadis for a just cause.... but nothing ever sticks (because it shouldn't). Not judicial nominations, not Judge Kavanaugh, not immigration or the wall, not Mueller's investigation, not his internal leaks and multiple insider sabotage, FBI collusion, Russian collusion, Ukrainian collusion. None of it. So after three plus years with nothing, and an election in November, they pick up the ball on a 3rd and 50 yards and throw a hail mary with really slow (and stupid) receivers. (singing Onward Christian Soldiers, marching arm in arm with the articles of impeachment in search of the Holy Grail and the Promised Land.) And “Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!” Now while I actually appreciate many Eastern religion traditions, like saving face (to themselves and to their leftist constituents), I'm betting none of them finally fall on their sword after yet another failure. Which would really be the honorable thing (but they don't do honorable). And so they can't even get their philosophy straight. Pity. And of course, what might actually be the best course of action for our Country and it's People never entered their mind or consideration, only Party politics and power. Come on November!
