And yet the left still surprise me with how far they're willing to sink in order to try to besmirch our president.

At a State of the Union the Speaker of the traditionally introduces the President in this manner - "It is my high privilege and distinct honor of presenting to you the President of the United States." She didn't do that. Just said "The President of the United States" She led the partisan Democrat Bogus Impeachment in the House. You are the only one on the Planet that logically assumes Trump should shake her hand. Then she makes a spectacle of ripping up the speech. A speech that Honored a great many people. Right out of her Jr. High playbook.

You seriously think he should have shaken her hand after what she and the other democrats put him through?
What I saw was a bitter old witch that couldn't give the president he deserves for being THE PRESIDENT. She was constantly shuffling the papers in front of her. Looking like she needed poligrip to fix her teeth not to mention talking to someone. Then tore up his speech right in front of him. Pelosi and the rest of the Democrats showed their true colors tonight.

Totally agree, it was a disgusting display. As for the handshake, we have done so much less to each other here at this board, and there is a problem being civil. How much more the president of the US with a agenda and plan, thwarted at every turn, held for impeachment, brought up on charges and found innocent, not given respect even to stand on the good points of speeches, fought on every immigration issue, and not able to get judges appointed, except by maneuvers, then on top of it all promised that if he gets by on this impeachment, they may try again. Every step there has have been road blocks and hindrances put in his way. Not only by this dem congress but by the past president. He has had all the three letter agencies investigate, harass, lie to him and about him, he has had every liberal against him and yet has done more to bring back the middle class than any other president in recent history. I personally was about to puke with the blatant rebellion and disrespect she showed the office of the president. The look on her face when she did it was as if she was demon possessed and she could not even look respectful and dignified when the president gave his speech. The tearing of the speech was the final act of all loss of respect for the presidents office and showed that all decorum, all respect for the office of president is gone from this bottom feeder. Any respect, any benefit of the doubt I had for her was removed in that act, it should NEVER have come to that disgusting, show of disrespect and was the final act in my negative personal opinion of her. I am truly amazed at the ability of this president with the north wind all around him was able to conduct himself in the speech and in his affairs of office with such consistency and steadfastness and give a great speech. I have been in situations when you feel the wolves are all around and had to give a speech and its not fun nor easy and he made it look easy. So before anyone on this board thinks that the lack of hand shaking was a justification either on purpose or accident for the actions she did just think of your own actions here on the board with so much less opposition and give the president the benefit of the doubt. Condemn this act of Pelosi's for what it is, as an act of utter depravity. Also as if for no other reason, she calls herself a Christian, that behavior was the antithesis of anti christian and many here have condemned lesser actions by member's and called many here myself included on behavior much less damning, so I know all will be on board with this condemnation of Pelosis behavior. As one more obvious point, how many here would shake hands with someone who has stated, showed, demonstrated and orchestrated acts, that would kill you? Knowing this animosity is just below the surface and was demonstrated in the tearing of the speech and they are shown in true colors. I would not, I would want to be much less constrained than the president.

Admitting, I'm not surprised by the Speaker's demonstration. She represents some of the most disgusting values I can imagine. Honestly, I'm surprised she didn't attack him while his back was turned. And, I'm one of those folks who really don't like President Trump. He was not my first choice prior to his election. Dems have no one to blame but themselves, they wanted HRC.

I predict the Dems will gather less votes in this next election than they garnered in decades.
Hope it leads to the end of the party of corruption, late term abortion, criminal cover-ups and socialism (thinly disguised) and Sharia law. Would love to see California turn out in a big way against the party,
Kudos to POTUS for recognizing the movement in Venezuela. That was a terrific moment and will give hope to the millions enslaved by the socialism that democrats here embrace.

They even have James Carville running scared https://www.thedailybeast.com/james-carville-rages-over-state-of-democratic-party-says-im-scared-to-death“After complaining that the campaigns “have to be more relevant,” Carville—who is backing longshot presidential hopeful Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO)— was asked if he would get behind Sanders if the progressive senator ended up getting the nomination. “Well, I’ll get behind him. I have no choice,” an unenthused Carville replied. “But look at the British Labour Party. We’re like talking about people voting from jail cells. We’re talking about not having a border. I mean, come on, people.””

Indeed and he did not shake VP Pences's hand either. Her actions speak for the state of her psychotic mind she has been in for at least 6 months, maybe more, she has snapped. I have thought for many years, at least since Reagan, it is ridiculous to have the both speaker and VP behind the President, and this should be obvious. By the way it was one fantastic speech, and several moments with the great guests the President invited, the eyes got a bit watery.

I give the guy the benefit of the doubt that he never actually saw her gesture while he was turning to face the podium. I think he had more on his mind and a bit of the jitters for his speech.
I believe that if it was an intentional snub he would have looked her right in the eyes while doing it. He has enough experience to pull that off.
A very disappointing display by the opposition.

I wouldn't pretend to be able to predict who will or won't vote in the 2020 election but, as much as I hate quoting polls, the major networks are reporting that the President's numbers are higher than they have ever been. IIRC, 49% of polled folks gave him a . That speaks volumes on how the country is doing and what they think of the Impeachment attempt IMHO. If I was considering voting for one of the Dem candidates, I'd be very concerned about their chances. Things could change, no doubt but, I do believe both sides learned something in the last three years. Draining the swamp and taking no prisoners has it's dangers. Especially, if you're one of the bacteria calling the swamp home. Rams

The socialists seem to be focusing on trivia like the handshake. There was a lot more substance than that last night, and overall it was a positive SOTU speech. Can any of the Trump haters be specific about what made them so angry last night?

The President was obviously very angry as he left the podium. I admire his restraint and discipline as he didn't respond to Pelosi's offense. It's not his natural reaction path.
As for losing votes, I'm not confident. Look at our own representatives of the left. The two sides are so deeply committed that no amount of logical demonstration of wrong will change minds. We can only hope that there are still a few voters in the middle not fully committed to either side.

When they panned the audience when Trump Supporters were standing and the "others" were still resting on their collective bony or fat arses I was Truly expecting some of those heads to explode. pelousy more then once looked like she was eating a raw dead skunk. Far as the ignored handshake thingy goes-what else duz ya spect after her and the ds coming after Our duly elected President as hard as they have since he announced his intention to run for the office of President. Personally I would have truly enjoyed seeing the Smith and Wesson bracelets slapped on her in front of that National Audience. But that could be like just me! And of all the Great moments in that SOTU address last night Our President Donald J.Trump reinforcing his stance on the 2nd amendment was Priceless! Course the looks on the seated ones and ones in white dresses was also priceless. M A G A-he IS trying hard even with all the opposition to git er done. Not sure but i believe he may have wanted to extend his middle finger to those that choose to remain seated. More disrespect in staying seated than an ignored handshake I M H O. RIDE SAFE.

The socialists seem to be focusing on trivia like the handshake. There was a lot more substance than that last night, and overall it was a positive SOTU speech. Can any of the Trump haters be specific about what made them so angry last night?
If you will reread thru the thread you will see it was Trump supporters who are pissed. To the point of wishing violence on Pelosi. That is wrong...we’re better than that.

What are you guys doing?? Meathead is sticking a screw driver in your ribs and twisting it...he likes doing that. Don't give him the dignity of a response. He does not deserve one.
Sometimes he's fun to play with. Other times I think he needs some help.

If, after watching eight years of the barry show, three years of the "resistance" show and all that that entails, and the SOTU last night, anyone can say they still consider themselves to be a proud dimocrat, they disgust me.
You can either be a critical thinker or a dimocrat, you can't be both.
You can either be a loyal American or a dimocrat, you can't be both.
