this is Tyrant dictator the Murph, a man the Founding Fathers warned us about.

https://www.shorenewsnetwork.com/2020/06/04/phil-murphys-doe-just-added-anal-sex-to-new-jerseys-8th-grade-public-school-curriculum/

One of the new teachings will be in-depth discussions on anal sex.   Prior to this year,  the curriculum only stated that children should know that sexually transmitted diseases are communicable even during anal sex.  Now, the teachers must teach the students about anal sex.

“All students will acquire the knowledge and skills of what is most essential to become individuals who possess health and physical literacy and
pursue a life of wellness by developing the habits necessary to live healthy, productive lives that positively impact their families, schools, and
communities,” the DOE said.  “Successful preparation of students for the opportunities, rigors, and advances of the 21st Century cannot be accomplished without a strong and sustained emphasis on the health and wellness of all students.”

By the end of 8th grade, starting this fall, teachers will have to define vaginal, oral, and anal sex to their students.

I wish I were surprised, but sadly, I'm not. I wish I had more to say, but I'll just be here, shaking my head.

I'm so old the only sex education we got as teenagers was floundering about in the back seat of my buddy's car. He had a '49 Ford Business Coupe at the time and always kept a supply of condoms in it, the location of which I was privy to which came in handy a few months down the road. He traded the car in and forgot to remove his stash, I accidentally spotted the new owner one day while out cruising and found out where he lived. One Saturday evening my friend Bill came to me in a panic, realizing he hadn't taken the stash with him and said he was in dire need of some protection. It was quite late so everything was closed but I told him I could get some for him and would be back shortly. I sneaked into the alley where his former car was parked, removed his stash which the new elderly owner knew nothing about, then headed back to our meeting place. I proceeded to sell Bill most of his stash back to him, but had removed them from the box they came in. I sold the rest to another buddy, I myself had no use or reason to keep them for myself. About 20 yrs. later during a gathering of old HS friends, I told Bill what I had done. We all had a good laugh over it....and I ended up paying for his dinner.  Grin

When I read your post I was scratching my head trying to remember what MP did for sex Ed but as soon as I opened the video and saw John Cleese, then it hit me, I started laughing before I even watched the video which was followed by more laughter.

I don’t know who’s bright idea this topic of education belongs to in the board of Ed but 8th grade seems a bit young to broach this particular subject. Maybe it should have been reserved for high school if it needs to be addressed at all. I would not be a very happy parent hearing this is now in the curriculum.

our teacher was our gym/phy ed teacher.... Roll Eyes

in like 6th or 7th grade.  NOwadays they bring it up to students even earlier.   I could be wrong, but I think most kids nowadays do not do stupid stuff in high school or junior high like we all used to back in the day.    Heck, if they get into a fight with someone,  they are for sure suspended for 3 days or kicked out of school entire year.   I just wish our teachers who were for the most part very old looked like my kids teachers some are very young and very HOT looking.

Serious question and I'm not arguing with anyone as I don't really have an opinion on the matter myself, I'm genuinely curious:  Why is anal sex any worse for them to learn about than any other sexual practice?

I don't understand your question.  As I said, I have no opinion on the issue, I'm just curious as to why this is particularly objectionable.  Maybe I'm reading it wrong and the outrage is about any sex education at that grade level?  I really don't understand what it is that upsets people here.

Maybe I too am old fashioned just because I guess I'm considered an old fart. But I think sex education should come from the back seat of a Buick the same as all of us got back in the day.

I'd like to know how the Norwegian countries handle this, they seem to do a good job at it which seems to be lacking in our country. I'll have to look into that.

The Governor is just being forward thinking. He just wants the kids to be prepared for the reaming they are going to receive when the Democrats are in charge of the House, the Senate and the Whitehouse. Progressives have been for handing out condoms like candy for years so now I guess they will have to add KY to the mix.

I am glad you dont have sexual experiences that are meaningful so as to relate why a 13 year old should not learn the sexual nuances like anal from school and not from parents or experience especially at 13. But maybe if you indulged in some porn like these kids are subject in this teaching you may learn that some things are not age appropriate. Do you really not have a database of personal experiences to understand why someone should not be subject to this?

Do you feel that the governor of a state with unknown personal preferences and unknown morals should be teaching my kids at 13 what anal sex is about, when maybe I know my kid better and they find this offensive or embarrassing. Maybe I just don't want my kid to be suggested at this point in his life when puberty hits and that can be tough to deal with to have some ahole suggesting things to an already impressionable child.

Schools cannot successfully teach, history, math, science life skills so why do I want my child to be suggested anything thing from these usually left liberals. Hell they cannot even keep my child safe in school that is why Alternative schooling in on the rise.

The teaching of sex should be coupled with reasons, morals, purposes, and intimacy for the reasons to have sex. The teaching of the act of sex without the understanding of the intimacy behind the reason is like making animals have sex for slaughter. If you do not understand the reasons for anal sex or the reason it is taught maybe you are to young to understand and that should be saved for a later time also.

Here is what I understand:  Anal sex is something that people do.  I do not and have not but others do.  Both straight and gay couples do it.  I guess what I'm asking is are you against sex being taught at that age in school or is it that particular sex act?  If it's the latter, why are you any more against that than vaginal sex?

Your answer says a lot "Both straight and gay couples do it", at 13?

Anyone old enough can make the choices for themselves, its a free country.

I do not believe at 13 sex, much less a particular sexual fettish should be taught, especially in schools.

If you teach sex, keep it basic and biology related.

If you are going to teach a particular sexual fetish then where do you draw the line? Much less a 13 year olds ability to relate to the experience and understand the why and wherefore. This is why I was questioning you, do you not see or understand that this ability to understand a particular act can foul them up?

Sex can be a wonderful thing when 2 people share and experience it and like to experiment with things. When they trust and want to enjoy each other its wonderful and can be a life changing bonding between the 2. How conceptually does a 13 year old relate to this? How does a 13 year old relate to sex at all? How does a 13 year old develop a healthy sexual life?

Regardless of the motive of the government to do this there is NO consideration into the thoughts emotions or develping a healthy sexual attitude in kids.  Sex is not only the act but the emotion to handle it also.

I understand what you're saying Robert, and mostly agree with it. The sad fact is that too many parents aren't stepping up and doing this for themselves. The schools can cover the biology of sex pretty well (especially with a good teacher), but the morals, attitudes, etc. - that has to come from home / parents.

Another factor is that kids today are biologically more mature than we were at that age - heck, 13 may even be too late for education when the kids have started exploring it at 12 or even 10 ! I'm not going to try to embarrass Serk by asking when did Kali and her parents had that "the birds and the bees" conversation, but 10,11, or 12 would not surprise me.

Good questions. How can you answer them.   13 yr olds are having sex so how can it be controlled. So if we're teaching them how to do whatever they want to do, then it seems they are getting approval to do it.

Exactly, and that is the answer to why the gov wants this taught.

Biologically we are still the same, attitude and society wise we have changed. But I think we all somehow fumbled through it and when we learned we said OOOOHHHHH that's why  Grin But basic biology would work well for most.

Oss puts on his hip waders

Back in the 1980's my mom was a teacher in the south Bronx and spanish harlem

It was NOT uncommon to have 13 and 14 yr old mothers in school in the Bronx and Manhattan
Probably still is....

That said, and seeing how a 13 or 14 yr old boy or girls' choices in life can be severely limited by unintended and even worse, intentional pregnancy,  sex ed is, IMHO a good thing.   Reducing STD and aids and pregnancy of kids is a good thing

I do not endorse sex of any kind between young hyper-hormonal kids but it happens, it has always happened and will always happen   That is the age of Romeo & Juliet after all.

Did see the teen vogue articles, oy vey, but I would not condemn those as  written.   It is not like they are trying to get boys to become girls or vice versa.  Actually thought the articles were respectfully written for teens

Ok,so I’m going to attempt a comment here. I’m a fan of an APP or website called The Chive which is a mixed bag of stuff, from cute animals at play to people drinking, some sports, random useless knowledge, and of course cute girls in bikinis and lingerie, nothing nude, just some good old fashioned risqué pics. One thing I must emphasize is this website/APP is heavily involved in fund raising for all sorts of people.

They actually have state wide chapters which hold their own fundraisers and there have been national/worldwide fundraisers. From firefighters to soldiers, to handicapped children and almost anything in between. Political posting is not on their agenda.

So on occasion one of their topics is girls (usually from 19-late 20’s yrs of age) of social media dating sites and what the girls post in their profile as turn on’s and favorite things. One of the most recurring themes is “being down for butt stuff”.

So that being said, it seems the taboo nature of it is being brought out into the mainstream lifestyle.

However, I do believe 8th grade is a bit young. My niece has a daughter going into 8th grade this year and to be honest it seems young for this topic. But like Oss said, maybe the sooner the better. Children are exposed to easier opportunities of sex these days.

My daughter had a friend who sexually active very young, maybe around sophomore year and the story/excuse my wife got from a conversation with the girl’s mother was that she was sexually active at a very young age so she would be a hypocrite to tell her daughter different.

Perhaps sex Ed needs to be a subject which needs to be built upon instead an all information at once and take it from there kids.

As a long time school teacher, I've overheard conversations between kids. Anal sex is referred to as "backpacking" by teens around here. The main reason for "backpacking" is so they can have sex and still be a 'virgin'. Just stating what I've overheard.

I don't know. I guess it just seems comical that anyone would consider themselves still a virgin after being "backpacked".

Unfortunately yes.  These days 13 year olds do have sex.  I don't think that they should but the number of pregnancies bears out that they do.  I certainly wasn't at that age and neither was anyone else I knew but, apparently times have changed.
