He goes to Kenosha, a city gripped by violence for which the mayor and Governor of Wisconsin have allowed to explode, to show the law enforcement community there, the people who have to go into this mess everyday, that HE will be there for them. He is there to see what they need, how he can help because the State and local politicians have let their citizens be victimized. Needlessly.

Ok, I'll try to amswer all of this:  

First, as I have stated before, I do not think that Trump is a racist.  Rather, I think he is cares only about himself and his own ego and is unable to empathize with anyone else.  

Second, I don't hate Trump or his supporters (my Dad, Mom and both step-parents are huge Trump fans, as is my brother - although he also thinks the earth is flat...)  I simply view the world from a "people matter" perspective where he/they view it from a "money matters" perspective.

What does bother me is that while I have publicly agreed with Trump and many of you on some issues, such as mail in voting and have conceded that folks on my side of the fence have screwed up on some issues, such as Pelosi's disrespectful behavior, you all are so blindly devoted to the man that he can do no wrong.  You will literally defend him no matter what he does or says.  That's scary, because it's losing all objectivity and is approaching a fanatical level of support.  

I am speaking up because there needs to be a voice for the other side and maybe if you can put aside your kneejerk anger at me, you can at least understand where I'm coming from even if you don't agree with it.

Yes, I support the spirit of the Black Lives Matter movement.  I do not support all of the actions tied to that movement.  I don't support antifa.

Hate and anger is all I'm getting from any Democrat or Biden supporter. You say Trump is a racist and hater, yet you offer no proof he's a racist. Hate accusation is such a vague term.. it's used as a weapon by those who seek to control US. Look at the UK, where speech and 'hate' laws can put you in prison.. do you want that here?

Are you supporting BLM? Antifa? Are they not burning, looting and shooting? Are they paid, out of town rental mobs? Do peaceful protestors wear knee pads, body armor and shields? Is it cool to scream in the faces of old people? Is it cool to grab hats off kids and terrorize them? Is it cool to beat conservatives and harass them for the sole reason of having a different political position? Are the 'anti-fascists' not practicing fascism?

I want to know what your definition of hate is first please, then we can begin to assign hate according to actions of those we'll classify as haters.

Ok, I'll try to amswer all of this:  

First, as I have stated before, I do not think that Trump is a racist.  Rather, I think he is cares only about himself and his own ego and is unable to empathize with anyone else.  

Second, I don't hate Trump or his supporters (my Dad, Mom and both step-parents are huge Trump fans, as is my brother - although he also thinks the earth is flat...)  I simply view the world from a "people matter" perspective where he/they view it from a "money matters" perspective.

What does bother me is that while I have publicly agreed with Trump and many of you on some issues, such as mail in voting and have conceded that folks on my side of the fence have screwed up on some issues, such as Pelosi's disrespectful behavior, you all are so blindly devoted to the man that he can do no wrong.  You will literally defend him no matter what he does or says.  That's scary, because it's losing all objectivity and is approaching a fanatical level of support.  

I am speaking up because there needs to be a voice for the other side and maybe if you can put aside your kneejerk anger at me, you can at least understand where I'm coming from even if you don't agree with it.

Yes, I support the spirit of the Black Lives Matter movement.  I do not support all of the actions tied to that movement.  I don't support antifa.

The main reason I responded to you is because it looks like you've painted Donald Trump and his supporters with a very broad brush of being hateful without any specifics. Hate comes in many forms and I wanted to point out that most of the hate we're seeing in this country now is coming from the left.
Conservatives just want to go about their lives and be left alone, while leftists are driven to attempt control over us. As conservatives we're happy to go about our daily lives, pay reasonable tax, and have clean cities and streets in which to engage in commerce and live a happy life without excess government interference... We don't ask for much...

Donald Trump did not have to run for president, and I would posit that he didn't want to. He had a perfectly happy life doing what he was doing. If you don't see that he ran for president to save us from the hard left and the assault that they're attempting on this country then I think you're being somewhat obtuse. Do you really want socialism? If you are not with antifa then I assume you're not an anarchist or communist. I believe you are a good-hearted 60s style old-school liberal, and that's okay, it would be boring as hell to you have an echo chamber with no countering viewpoint.

It's a mistake to think that people here support Trump in every single thing that he does or says, that's just not so. What people here do push back against is unhinged hate for the president.

I'm glad you don't think Trump is a racist and that shows me that you actually do have reasonable thinking when it comes to the man. If you kept your comments confined to more specific points rather than using blanket statements about hate it would be much more productive. If we talk specifics then we have something to work with. I learned long ago in some relationship training that using words like 'you always' leaves the other person with nowhere to go. How do you defend 'you always'? Rather than saying I don't like it that you did such and such, then you have a framework for discussion.. The term 'you always' negates communication, and that's what I see a lot of people doing on both sides.

Polarization in this country is at a peak, and we're going to either go hard left or we're going to maintain the status quo. Nobody in their right mind wants socialism in this country, it's a parasitic ideology that has failed every single time that it's been tried throughout history. The more government gets involved in the everyday lives of people and business the more things get screwed up, it's always been that way and will remain so.

You and I are stuck in California which is completely democrat-controlled, taxes are out of sight, real estate values are artificially high, the gap between the Haves and Have Nots is increasing exponentially, yet you seem to support the very people who are causing this mayhem.
I moved to California 1980 during the first year of the Reagan Administration and it was a completely different state, it was beautiful and reasonable and fun, now things aren't so reasonable though they're still beautiful, and fun is hard to have compared to how it used to be. I've seen what the ideology of the left has done to major cities and states throughout the Republic, they have failed terribly.

I don't believe that you watched any of the RNC convention last week.  If you did, you couldn't possible reiterate over and over again the democrat talking point that he cares only for himself.  Speaker after speaker came on stage and told us all how their lives have benfitted from policies Trump created and signed.  No way I'm gonna list them here because there were too many to deny or ignore from folks all across the country of different races, creeds, religions, industries, neighborhoods, etc.

For every "ism" they call him, there are several, actual, instances where Trump has proven it false and demonstrated the exact opposite with words and ACTION.

I'm just one member of "you all" but I will loudly call out Trump for when he does a bad. The bump stock ban was a BIG bad, his support of red-flag gun confiscation laws is a VERY bad. He's way too eager to support big government programs.

In the Republican primaries he was my 3rd to last choice. He was my least favorite candidate with an (R) after their name that I would physically be able to hold back the bile as I voted for them (Rubio or Bush, had they won, I'd be voting Libertarianin the general election. I ALMOST did against Trump but the alternative was so much worse...)

The choice between Trump or Biden is like being the new guy in prison. Either way you're gonna get raped, but at least Trump cares enough to give ya' a little lube first.

I dont think anyone has ever thought that. To me he seems to have AMERICA first and foremost on his agenda. We dont like the tweets and such and wish he would quit them but results matter.  And keeping socialism out of this country should be #1 with you and every American.
