https://redeye.ecrater.com/p/5408480/bowl-gaskets-viton-gf-hondaRedeye has testing tools in his kit. You will need a Mighty Vac or some other hand operated vacuum pump. He supplies a piece of Lexan or Plexiglass.
1. Put the gasket in.
2. Put the Lexan plate on the gasket.
3. Connect a Mighty Vac pump to the drain nipple with the drain screw open 1/4 turn.
4. Draw a vacuum on the carb bowl.
5. If the gasket will seal it will seal against the Lexan and hold.
The old gaskets were glued in. If the gasket grove is not clean, or it was gouged when cleaning out the old glue, it will leak. If the gasket grove is damaged, you may have to spring for the $16 tube of rubber gasket cement that Honda uses on the bowl side. It is a PITA to use, and isn't needed in most cases.
