Global Warming causes climate CHANGE and longer and warmer summers.
More severe and widespread drought conditions.
We're supposed to experience more and earlier wildfires.
Winters (on average) are a few degrees warmer allowing the bark beetle to gain strength and turn forests into dry fuel.
Virouses may have longer seasons and become stronger.
The second biggest port in the world has taken precautions against the rising ocean.

On the other hand, has anyone else here every been to Alaska and seen the vast retreat of the glaciers there? Portage glacier retreat has left a beautiful lake 2 miles long. Take the 12 hour Kenai Fjords boat tour out of Seward and travel 2 miles up the gorge of a retrearted glacier. Nope nothings changed in the last 100 years.

If the waters are arising and temps are rising, then the water should evaporate leaving moisture in the atmosphere thus resualting in rain.  Cheesy

I thought global warming was going to raise the sea levels too.
I recently visited my boyhood stomping grounds, the back bays of Pinellas Co. Florida, & the levels seem to be the same as they were in the late 1960's.   ???
Surely all those melting glaciers would effect sea levels by now.  ???

Anecdotal evidence abounds everywhere. But there is one thing for certain as I stated before ......... HANG ON TO YOUR WALLETS & WATCH YOUR FREEDOM ERODE!  tickedoff

Wife says sea turtles are going into shock and dying because of colder water.  I'm asked by, otherwise, intelligent friend if that isn't caused by global warming.

Forget El Nino and La Nina currents that exaggerate conditions,  we have one simple answer for it all, now.

Glaciers presently in ocean will have no effect-you know-like your cocktail-it won't run over when the ice cubes melts.  However, when you add water or ice that wasn't there before like glaciers that are on land masses, it will add to the sea level.

This climate change stuff has become the new religion.  Although, even with proof that it's been a hoax, the sheep still follow.

The Sahara used to be an ocean, the continents used to be one, the earth froze over (at least once that we know of) and thawed out (at least once that we know of).  Our planet is a living, breathing machine that's going to go through it's motions whether we like it or not.  There was nothing that man or machine has done in the past, present, or future that's going to change this in anyway.  Yes, we should keep it clean for our own benefit and that's a good thing.  But the lying, the falsifying and destruction of documents, the utter garbage from Gore every time he speaks, the policies being made, the taxing, the promise of $ from the United States to poorer nations.......it's all too much.  And people still believe???  uglystupid2

Poorer nations........HA!!!  We are the poorest nation on the planet.  Does any other country have the debt we have?  Sorry, this is another thread.

Please refute every point stated here with your cutting edge point of view
http://www.geocraft.com/WVFossils/ice_ages.html

Here's one example for you.

Nobody is interested in solutions if they don't think there's a problem. Given that starting point, I believe it is appropriate to have an over-representation of factual presentations on how dangerous (global warming) is, as a predicate for opening up the audience to listen to what the solutions are...

Maybe it was your later comment referring to Tim (Redvalk), a fellow cyclist, as a "little feller" that gets people riled up with you.   I know it helped convince me that you are beyond a doubt a jerk.  And that's a FACT.

I suspect there are many, many more people reading this board that feel exactly the same way Tim does regarding meeting you in person.  But I'll admit, I don't have actual data to support that statement.  It's merely a gut instinct.

Now, go ahead.  Slam me too.  I'm sure you'll have another cutesie comeback.

As the Business & Media Institute reported last year, press reports of climate change have been going on since the 1800s.

Over the weekend, I was sent a list of New York Times articles dating back to 1855 addressing the global warming and cooling that has been happening on this planet for the past 150 years. I have taken the liberty of adding a few pieces that I discovered in the Times’ archives to further illustrate the point.

As you review the following, try to keep in mind just how sure global warming alarmists like soon-to-be-Dr. Al Gore are that the current trend in climate change is a “a true planetary emergency” that must be dealt with soon to avoid an imminent cataclysm:

I assure you Scanner, I HAVE READ many of your posts, and I have read many of Tim's posts.   I stand by my earlier comments.  'Nuff said.
