Oh, BTW... Congrats to Michael Friesen, 97BLKVALK.  First to register!  You won... nothing.

But it is impressive that you beat Serk by 7 minutes!

Both of them should at least get Participation Trophies! uglystupid2

I will bring some good evening spirits to share with Brian. Cheers!

You can sleep on the floor of my room the last night!

(If you're serious, might even move The Dood to my bed that last night..... and give you your own bed.....)

This is all assuming I've beat the 50/50 odds and have been able to go at all... =\

I have been working with the hotel for the last 3 days and continuing to do so today to get all issues resolved.  We DO still have rooms available and all issues should be resolved by the end of the day.  There are both King and Double Queens left in our block.  Everything should be resolved by the end of the day!  They have all new front desks folks, all of which just completed training last week...and although that is no excuse, it does kind of add a little bit of understanding to the issues.  Please be patient...it WILL be a great event and I will post an update later today.

See y'all in June!!!  It's gonna be a GREAT event and I for one, am really looking forward to it (especially the pitchfork fondue)!!

Please contact me with any further issues, either by text, pm or call.  My number is listed at the bottom off all the receipts.

Thanks guys!

So can you elaborate on the pitchfork fondu, or are you saving that info for when we arrive?  I've never heard of one and want to know what I'm in for.

They will be cooking marinated steaks, on pitchforks in a large fondue pot!  The cooking will take place in the courtyard of the hotel during our  cocktail/social hour prior to the banquet so all can experience it and watch!  Then we will go in for the banquet and eat it!  It will be awesome!  It is a true Montana experience!

Hotel issues are now resolved.  Please go ahead and make your reservations (after registering for the event, of course)!  We have plenty of rooms left,  both king and double queen.  If you have any problems, let me know please, and we will get them resolved.

Wouldn't this thread be easier to locate if it were "pinned" on the top of the page and not dropping down all the time?
Just a suggestion.   I'm not driving this train, I don't even get to blow the horn.

Oh yeah, bump back to the top.  Wink

If you want to join us Rodney you are more than welcome keep in mind our plan right now is to stay off the super slab all the way so it'll take several days to get out there. We plan to make plans on where we all get hooked up on the Slade , Kentucky ( Red River Gorge )   ride May 6-7-8.

Mark, I really enjoyed watching you tear into a set of carbs last year and I’m sure there were some appreciative owners even happier. Renovations kept me busy and broke for a few years recently although I did get to attend last year. You will be missed for sure.

InZane attendance update.

170 InZaniacs are signed up.

Texas, with 15 InZaniacs, is the top state represented

Ohio is in 2nd place with 11 InZaniacs.

So far my "plan" is to ride to Mountain Home, AR to visit some bike friends. From there I'll be heading to East Tennessee to scatter some ashes, turn North for Minnesota to do the same. I'll mosey around the country eventually arriving near here at the end of May for a doctor's appointment. I'll almost immediately head for the NM mountains and start working my way to Billings by June 12 for my first ever Early Bird dinner. After Inzane I'll be meandering over to the Missoula area to visit with some friends. Summary, I'm trying to emulate my friend, Bruce. cooldude

Heck Yeah!    One heck of a trip!!   The only problem I see is, it would appear you're doing way too much planning.  Wink

I was giving serious thought about going up into Canada but maybe another time, if at all. Seems leadership of both nations is a bit lacking at the moment. I would like to dip my toes in the Pacific, only coast I've never visited. No relatives along the way so probably not happening. I know the farther south I go that time of year will tend to be warmer, if not uncomfortably hot.

Maybe a visit to the spot where Rita and I were married...Running Eagle Falls, a.k.a. Trick Falls, on the SE side of Glacier Nat'l. Park. Would be a good place to spread some ashes, I do see they've created an actual nature trail going back in to the forest from the parking lot. Wasn't there 30 yrs. ago so we made our own trail. Had a lovely lady do the ceremony in front of those Falls, she was one of three local Blackfoot tribal judges and we asked her to use the Blackfoot ceremony. A powerful moment and a tribute to their customs. Rita was often kidded by her sisters about it being Blackfoot, telling her it wasn't legal since she and her family were part Cherokee.

I'd like to not wander about by myself so possible company on a ride after Inzane would be welcome I'm sure.

After I take the Lake Express ferry out of Muskegon over to John's place and we wander over to Billings, I am going walkabout. Carrying my backpacking tent with me I managed to score the middle of Yellowstone the Friday that InZane ends. Then have a week easy riding heading West probably as far as Virginia City, then South to Zion, then over to North Rim Grand Canyon where I scored again a tent site for 2 nights. Hooking around to the South, will be standing on a corner in Winslow AZ, catching Route 66 as far as Amarillo, then up to Dodge City and meander back into MI sometime early July. Maybe.  cooldude
