Looking at the nut holding the basket in place it looks like a 6 point won't work. That's readily available in either 1/2" or 3/4" drive, but finding a 12 point in either drive is scarce as hen's teeth. It looks like maybe a 1 13/16" is an equivalent size...correct if I'm wrong. Also not an easy find.

Thats the reason its a 46 mm as a 1 13/16 is more readily available. Same on the axle nut being 27 mm/1 1/16".

I have this linked for the sockets.

At the bottom was my last post where I found the sockets for a decent price. I think today I can get them from our Princess Auto too (just like Harbor Freight).

Was browsin Ebay for a 12pt 46mm deepwell last night and not only found what I needed but also found the Honda tool used to hold the clutch disk package. Most were anywhere from $50 on up to near $100, I found one for $25. I have a flat 1/8" piece of metal stock I have alread marked to drill to use as a holding tool but figured this will make it easier and involves less of my time eventually. The p/n...or in this case tool number is; 07JMB-MN50100. I figured for the amount paid I can sell it some time down the road for the same amount and not lose any money on the investment. Triangular in shape, has the three pins and an opening for a breaker bar, plus has a large hole in the center for socket access. Should have both the socket and the tool by the weekend.

One thing I noticed after pulling the clutch cover was everything had a deep orange colored coating that was easily wiped off but made me wonder what kind of oil was used. My new gear is here today, as is the clutch cover gasket. Still waiting on the rear case cover gasket and new clutch friction plates, think I'll order a new seal for the output shaft as long as I have it off.
