Guys, I have a Y2K Valk Tourer, in beautiful condition, 48K miles but still has the stock lighting. Recently I did a mod on my 2015 HD Road King (I hope that doesn't make me a bad person.) and added a set of Sunpie LED headlight, $100 kit on Amazon. I was amazed at how easy it was to implement (plug and play) and super lighting.

I have the Cobra light bar kit on this bike, and I've seen a couple of implementations on Valks online. Are there any write-ups here that I might take advantage of to do the same on my Valk? I've searched around and came across a couple threads with bulb changes etc. but what I'm looking for the sealed beam implementation, if it exist?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello from Gardner.  Smiley Wish I could help but I have a Y2K Interstate. I also can't remember any posts as I was looking for a different headlight setup for the Interstate last year.

Good Luck

Ashby Ma,

I was looking at this last year but it won't work on Interstates. But it looks like a easy install for Standards and Tourers. Check out the reviews and pictures. It is expensive but maybe worth it.

Steve_L has a Tourer, not an Interstate.

Steve, you may look here:
No adapter ring needed, drops right in.
Expensive, though.

I have one of these myself.

I understand that he has a Tourer, the one I posted from Amazon is for a Standard or Tourer. Unfortunately they don't have one for the Interstate  Cry. I do like the one you installed on your bike though. I guess I will have to settle for the H4 LED bulbs if I decide to change from Halogen bulbs. I just wish someone made a comparable light set for the Interstate.

I installed the Eagle Light in my '98 Tourer a few years ago, and won't go back. Great light distribution (deer are a danger here), and deep penetration into the distance.

Eagle Lights headlight and driving lights...
Lifetime warranty.

At least with my Show Chrome bar/housing the driving lights needed some minor modification.

We have a member (Steel Cowboy) who made up a really nice set for his Interstate. I think all the pics are gone because of Photobucket. It wasn’t a simple replacement by any means though.

I used the bulbs from superbright LEDs. You do have to cut off a little tab for them to fit. I have them aimed a little lower and no one complains there in their eyes. But high beam lights it all back up. It’s been about 3 years with no issues. I also use eagle lights with very good results.  Nice and bright, again, no issues int the years of using them.

Thank you everyone that replied!

I haven't been riding for a while as down with a hernia and needed surgery. But back online and riding again, and can't wait to do this mod.

Thanks again!

Any of the options mentioned are better than stock, IMO. Rode for the first time in the dark with my brother and his '81 Goldwing - he used my light! No trouble telling which bike was his when he was behind, as his are really yellow-looking.

I haven't heard back from Josh, but I did fine a complete kit. Headlamp/bracket + t LED driving lamps. all plug and play. A little pricey, but hey, it's my FatLady, she deserves a little love sometimes.

That's Josh's kit. The adapter ring in the picture is the one he and his Dad designed and sell. I have All 3 lights on my tourer with Cobra light bar. Never will go back.

Agree with that..... once you have that Eagle light on your ride, no way will the OEM stocker light do....

Now waht am I going to do this OEM light sitting on a shelf in my gargage gathering dust?  Roll Eyes
