That sounds amazing.   It's why I respect farmers so.

I had this for another post but the song is playing now on my Youtube Channel.

Also it's friggen snowing ! 29*..
Yeah it's bloody cold.  Welcome  to fickle March.

Well be a good sport Tracy and bring them in the house.   Grin

After a weekend in the 70s up here (riding in a long sleeve T and vest), it was nippy and blowing hard all day.  Brrrr.   And worse tomorrow (the 1st day of Spring).   crazy2

The  little  lass , is   using all 4  now  ! This  cold  snap  increased  her  intake !  smitten
She  is  doing  well... I  don't  normally fuss  so much over  a  LH calf.
As  they are  very hardy .. But because  of  this  Mum history.
It leaves  me  a  tad  more  watchful..

It's  like  when my Cow  that has  only 1  working  chamber (teat)
She  has  raised  3  calves  that way..
But last year   she  dropped  the  calf  in the  swampy area.
It aspirated  that nasty bracken water , and  died 2d later..
I  knew  it would  even thou it  nursed .

SO yeah it's  never   a  done  deal calving..
Then there  are  years   it just bloody wonderful.. All babies  are  healthy and  well..

Tracy,

Thanks for posting your continuing story... It's a worthwhile lesson for the rest of us on how to cope with significant loss and carry-on. The upbeat tone of your writing implies a positive, forward-thinking view of life for you, and I find it inspirational! Congrats on your obvious emotional maturity!!!

Well my caulking the  1 bathroom has  turned  in to pandoras  box...
Finally have  the  old  caulking  out  still cleaning ..
Then I decided  to try to scrap the  old  peeling paint that is  on the textured walls
Yeah that turn of  the  century look is  getting very old..

This  is  what the   walls  look like  in the  1  bathroom, yeah it  has  a  ceiling  vent..
But it's  a  POS...

AS some of you may remember , today (tonight) is six months for Tracy and me.  We both lost our loves on this date. Tracy and I private talk on occasion. I know it is inevitable , there is no way around it , we all die .  It still hurts.  We both are going on with life. We each have our paths to walk.  We both remember , and a tear happens.  angel
Tracy , you will be in my thoughts and prayers!  I hope they met in heaven and still ride a Valk. smitten

Things happen quick sometimes. My wife lost her sister Monday night. She had not been the picture of health, but she was active and called often. In less than a week she was gone, heart complications and too weak for any intervention. Keeps me mindful that I nor my wife nor anyone is promised a tomorrow, use today to the best of my ability.

The  things I'll do in the wee hours..

I  have  been doing this  for  years.

Some  things  just don't  always  get done .

But little  by little  all stuff  is  tagged.

I  know  this  is  a  stupid idea, But I still felt like  sharing ..

I needed to recharge  my head lamp. Well I  have  so many bloody cords.

That ya look at them and  they all have  a different shape  hook up.

So for  the  faster  quicker  way of  finding the  correct cord.

I always  save  the  white  thingy's  from Tater or  Onion sacks , They are  much bigger  than the  bread  ones  and  Never  have  writing  on them. I did  the 2 way radios, cameras, Head lamps ,Anything that takes  the  USB cords, hell I  even did  the  TV,  Roku, power box, VCR. all the stuff  that is  hooked  on the  poser  surge  strip. The computer, key board, mouse, speakers, printer, lamp. That are  all on the   other  power  surge box.

Just to show  ya  what I'm talking about.

I use  a  sharpie , so you can see how  they are  a  nice size.

No other  place  in the  house  had  peeled/paint chip like  that.I  guess no window  and the  main bathroom. It has  a  vent that comes on  when ya  throw  the  light.
The  crappy paint the  PO  used  was really bad, and  it was  a  flat paint.
I  hate  flat paint.
At least this  bathroom had  been sitting  now  for  almost 4  weeks  , so the  walls  should   have  been good  and  dry !
I  was using the  small bathroom, so this  one  would  really dry..
I really hope  that did  the trick.
That textured  wall  ya  just can't scrap like  a  normal way..
You really had  to wait till  is  was this  far in a  peel.
Of  course  I  was always  vacuuming the  walls right before  we  had  guests , to help  the  release.

Tracy , when I do bathrooms, I put the exhaust fan on a timer. It is usually needed after the occupant leaves.  The pealing is moisture.  Mold and mildew resistant  paint (after the fact) is all I use now. It can be added to any paint .

Thank You
This  paint n primer  had   mold inhibitor  in it.

The medicine cabinet shelf broke today..
SO I had to stop and make and fix that.

This is the 2nd shelf, they are 1970 plastic, it has been cracking for some time.
I just built the shelf it's drying I hope E6000 Glue holds.

I used the miter box and saw, Don got me many X-mas ago.
And his wood chisels

Was lucky still have these scraps of wood when we build the back on the Orange cabinet
we you first walk in the kitchen

This  is  just like  the miter box  Don  had  gotten me.
It has  these  little   turn clamps..

Good job.  I have some stuff I have been putting off, replacing deck boards.  My excuse, it was cold and/or raining.

Each of my 2 X 6 deck boards is toenailed from the side and then from the top.  Instead of removing all those screws and replacing 12 expensive long pressure treat 2 X 6 boards, I patched the bad spots with quarter inch plywood, and some 1 X stock, here and there.  No one will fall through.  It was quicker and cheaper with lumber on hand, and mainly I no longer use my great big deck for much of anything anymore, so it no longer had to be perfectly nice (and it's in back and can't be seen by passers by with a tight pressure treat lattice covered handrail around it, which is perfect).  But I did pressure wash it and give it two pretty coats of cedar stain (which halfway disguises the plywood patches).  Done.
