Once in a while; nearly always early in the morning.

Often, if you back out and hit the site again, it opens.  But not always.

Over the past few weeks, I've seen it here and there. Last night, it happened so much that I gave up and decided I'd wait until today.

Also, when trying to reply, I sometimes get a "Service Unavailable" page in the same manner as the Insufficient Storage one.

Yeah, considerable worse.  Yesterday I could just hit "re-do" and it would work, but today I have to hit it 4-5 times.

A site I moderate went down a few weeks ago when the servers crashed for about a week. Finally got everything back up and running.
Sadly  a few  folks  just didn't  come  back. They couldn't be bothered.
OH  well their  loss...

Technology isn't always what it's cracked up to be. When  one  must relay on servers..
That  you don't  control...

Eh ...... It all works  out in the end

But Serk added something in his text made me LAUGH OUT LOUD!  cooldude He'd stated the board was so slow that a V twinky runnin on one cylinder could lap the board!  2funny All things I'd attempted earlier this A M were fer naught!  Lips Sealed RIDE SAFE.

The General board is still invisible to anyone not logged in, like the PAM and Classified boards.

No more insufficient storage message but it now takes anywhere from 20-30 seconds to move between site pages.

Thought it might be my I-pad but I re-booted and same results.  Going to check my desk top later.

Wonder if it's due to the 3,124 "Guests" online?

I'm still able to get my VCRR daily fix, so not all bad.

If it's any consolation it's not just you, noting the same thing. Many times the site will timeout entirely.  Cry

I see the General board is visible to guests again. But it's so slow that the old days of dial-up modems seem fast by comparison. Maybe this board's software is getting a little outdated. Here's a message from 2018 warning that this version is no longer supported and should be upgraded:

On a previous post I made mention of the number or guests.  That was two days ago (I think).

The maximum number of recorded guests were/was 3826.

Today that number is about 25% higher with the the most on line is listed as 4998.

It is obvious to anyone that this is something being done for a reason.   Not sure of the reason but there has to be a way to block guests from getting to the site.

I know that might seem "very restrictive" but..... there were only three real users logged onto the site five minutes ago and there were over 4990 "Guests".

Restricted guest access to almost nothing in an effort to get the bots under control... Mainly an FYI, let's see if this helps...
