I got a new grill form Valk Bling at Christmas. is there a trick to getting it perfectly flush on install. There is a small difference at the edges and the forks are bumping it when turned all the way.

Someone else had a similar complaint recently: http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,11901.0.html

Don't know if it's the same issue/solution or not.

Let us know if you find a solution. Mine bump at full stop too, but that only happens when I'm in the
parking lot and when I'm fully locked up doing power slides...

After almost three years, there's a tiny mark in the paint (I have the red ones, not the chrome ones) at
the top edge of the cover, and no other known side effects...

I've got different side covers, and the bolt stays exposed, and always kept tight, so that didn't
fix it for me...

Which one did you get? cooldude

My forks rest on the top when I turn all the way.

My end caps must be loose, because there is some play in the end cap, cover, top cap assembly.

When I turn hard it all moves back about 1/8".  I just rolled with it.

You can take a look at the next wrench party.
