My brother John was 53 years, a year and six months older than me. He found out he had cancer in Feb. He went through treatments and was doing great, i was with him sunday and he was so happy. He had called me and ask if i would bring him coffee and sit for a while.  Which i did so many times. The sun was out and he stayed outside all day in his elec. wheel chair. i went by about 8 pm to check on him, he was still outside and having fun. I told him good night and i would see him in the morning. I went by his house Monday morning and found him still in bed, i told him to get his lazy butt up and he did not respond. It was then that i knew he had passed, I will miss my big brother who was always there for me as i was there for him. I am on my way now to say good bye.

I'm sorry for your loss - I'm sure having a supportive family member around like you were made a big difference to your brother and I hope it will give you good memories that you were a good brother. Sad to hear of a young man passing like that...

A little more to this story, John and i had talked about death and what he wanted. We loved to hunt mushrooms together, so i ask him about spreading his ashes in the mushroom woods where he and i enjoyed so much of our time together. He smiled and told me that would be a great ideal, i check with his kids and my other brother and sister. He will be returned to me next week and he and i are going mushroom hunting. I loved my brother and now we will always be together. Thanks to all of you for sending prayers.

Floyd,
I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I know that it is going to be hard to imagine life without him, but I pray that your faith and inner strength will help you through this difficult time. It was good to hear you both had a good day before his passing and that you were a good brother for taking care of him in his time of need. I know that he helped you many times as well and how comforting it was to you to know that he was always ready and willing to come to your aid.
