I have an 99 I/S, and since buying it 4 years ago, I have thought that the pull on the clutch lever was pretty hard. Is there any way to adjust this to make it easier to pull, or is it just the nature of the beast? My Valk is the only one I have ever ridden, so I have nothing to compare it to.
Thanks for the help,
Paul

+1 on using the Goldwing adj. levers.  One small tab to grind off.  Wider too.  Look nice.  Pull easier.

Check the pivot bushing for wear and lube it. A little waterproof grease goes a long way here.

Remove the lever. Clean and relube the pivot bushing and the brass insert that pushes on the master cylinder pin. If that doesn't do it, then remove the slave cylinder and lube the actuator pin behind the slave cylinder.

Thanks for the help everyone,
I think I will try the Kury. adjustable levers. I had a parir of the Kury. wide blade non-adjustable on there and just changed back to the stock levers. I must not have suficiantly lubed the brass bushing when I put them on, bacause two years later, and the clutch lever was bouncing pretty bad. Took it off and seen that the brass bushing had worn into the lever itself. Got a new bushing, lubed enerything up, put the stock levers back on, and problem was solved. I still have a pretty hard lever pull, so I will try the adjustable levers.
Thanks again,
Paul

If you think a Valk's clutch pull is hard, you should try a cable operated clutch especially a Harley.

Don't forget that a thorough flushing of the fluid may help!!
